It's a good thing. It's not a melee bot lane (
I'm sorry) but it's a new, healthy and natural evolution for the game. It brings diversity, and shouldn't be considered as a champion that is out of place. Maybe we could use Ziggs as the blue print for more Bot Lane APC instead of the usual AD auto attackers.

The problem is that they are "outclassed" (yeah) by adc (or marksman) for a lot of things :
Adc are reliable in dps (point and click undogeable dps), they can sustain with said auto attacks, bring far more dps and have some nice synergy with existing supports. (braum q only works with auto attacks for example)

Earl Eulrich3 votesit´s underrated on lots of mages, even on LB you can weave it in fairly easily on combos which far outperforms e.g. Ludins for ST dmg and also helps taking down turrets lategame when splitpushing. Same for Ori, Ziggs,..heck, even on Veigar it´s a good buy later on as it scales better than all alternatives with ap, and you can easily get off a hit on a stunend enemy (not to mention taking down turrets with 1000+ap).
TotalJerk1 votesI specifically limited my point to ranged champions for a reason. If range didn't matter you'd be seeing Tryndamere, Master Yi, and Yasuo in the bot lane. Also those champions absolutely zero bonuses against turrets.

Sure someone who has poured time into Ziggs, learning his odd Q's hitbox, planning out his E placement, landing ults, and being able to use his wonky W takes time. And than theres learning how much power you have as Ziggs and just playing in mid lane.
Additionally, Ziggs is prone to ganks incrediblly so when he uses W on tower or enemies. He has no hard CC. He is completely skill shot reliant and doesn't even have a lockdown spell like Lux or Morgana that gives him the user a free combo.
