There is no reason to play Rek'Sai anymore.
Honestly, half of her damage got hacked off already, and for some reason, Unburrow's knockup cooldown was made to scale down with rank. Oh, but we can't have her being a knockup bot, so the knockup area, which was already less than 1/3 of the size of Alistar's Pulverize (because there's nothing wrong with him being a knockup bot, since he has "support" as one of his nominal roles?), was reduced even further. And now a major source of fury generation (bonus fury the next time you generate some after burrowing with fury) is just getting removed, even though it was an important factor in managing fury levels throughout a fight and not completely throwing away your bite damage when you tunnel to chase an escaping enemy. The last damage tool in her kit, max fury Furious Bite, will almost never be available unless she's dying to minion aggro, and her sustain will be drastically reduced, especially when clearing jungle camps or during prolonged fights.
We don't want her to do area DPS, or knockups, or chunks of true damage, or sustain, or ANY of the things she was designed to do in the first place to make her a meaningful threat, except for tunnel around and be a barely significant nuisance beyond the early game. What DO we want her to do? Because she already does next to nothing, and she's still getting nerfs. I'm not afraid of her as an enemy. When I hear her ult, I don't panic and wonder if I forgot to stamp out an important tunnel, and she's going to pop up behind me and rip me to shreds. She's like an overexcited puppy. She might scratch me a bit, but mostly, she's just cute and a little annoying. I no longer have any interest in playing her at all. Seeing and moving through walls is great, but not if I can't actually DO anything except die when I get there, with my sole consolation being that I don't die right away.
Yes, I KNOW she still gets played like 5% of the time. But WHY? There are so many better options at this point, that don't become useless past 30 minutes. And this latest nerf hasn't even gone live yet. Even if it never does, she's already bad. Why is she still getting nerf after nerf?
