How does Riot punish win traders?

Win trading is MASSIVE in 3v3. 4 out of 6 games are people win trading. What are Riot's ways of identifying and what is the proper punishment for win trading?

At the end of last season they handed out 30 day bans and punished players lost all ranked rewards.

You can literally queue up for 3v3 as a 3 man. If someobody that you queued up with is wintrading you, find better teammates lmao.

Wintrading is the act of...well...trading wins. Your team and an opposing team you know queue at the same time, get matched against each other, then take turns losing the game. It only really works in low-occupancy queues, like TT, otherwise it's too unreliable to have happen.

If you can be fairly reliable with it, though, it's a free (if time-consuming) ticket to high ELO. You just have to have 5 other people you know, and a higher MMR than rank average.

Of course, though, it's a ticket to a ban as well. It's like boosting, but a lesser punishment (according to usul, at least - Boosting is an instant perma and he's saying it was just a 30 day ban) and no risk of someone just stealing your account because you were dumb enough to give them the password and username. So don't do it.

I'm in a discord with win trading challengers. The worst that happened to somebody in the discord was one of his accounts getting banned out of his multiple accounts used for win trading, and his main challenger account was untouched.

Basically, it's not a big deal at all.
