Udyr rework didn't help him.

I spent the whole weekend trying to get tiger Udyr to work and it feels really underpowered. He is like a weak xin/trynd/yi with less tools in his kit to do the job right. Some of the problem stems from jg farming and counterjungling being less relevant now, but that's the context the buffs were tested in and they certainly don't address his lack of power.

I want this champ to work. I hit D2 with him in S4 and I certainly don't think I'll be hitting diamond with him again.

The changes didn't address his greatest shortcoming: Poor engage. It also amplified his early game mana issues.

The changes to Q and W themselves are solid.

Try a high health titanic build. Also, get your tier 2 boots before you finish anything and take some MS quints. You'll notice a big difference from just that.

Yeah the mana is an issue early game.

The changes were good but just didn't do enough for him. You need 2-3 dmg items to justify being tiger at all, but it delays your tankyness way too much.

Try something like ninja tabi-->titanic-->cinderhulk as your start. You get health tanky with some armor from the tabi which is good enough and some damagic from the titanic.

Personally, I just played a game where the only damage item i picked up was triforce and thats not uncommon for me. I just let myself get so tanky that I couldn't be stopped early. then i finally built the triforce. You'd be surprised how much damage you can still put out with no damage items on udyr with new tiger stance.

The changes to his tiger stance were really really bad for dueling people through the entire game. It just does less burst damage from a couple autos and you want to stance dance as much as possible later when you get a sheen.

I mean the burst damage decrease isn't really significant unless you're building tons of damage which 99% of people dont do anyway. Sheen procs are the only time you really care about the change because you're generally still only procing the tiger dot on first cast. But generally speaking, if you build to take advantage of the new q, you end up with more damage.

And if you really miss the damage that much, just take fervor.
