So far I've not seen anyone this year bring this up but bearing in mind we got a hole new tier added & leagues shifted and Silver 1/2 is clearly the MMR now of what was Gold 5 so what's going to happen? Will it still be Gold + for skin rewards because if it is that means a slower number of people are getting to the threshold to get those rewards.

its easier then last season (even without the mmr bug, if plat contained the top 5% of last season, but now contains the top 6%, what do you think happened to last seasons golds? thats right, they moved up. it will be similar for all ranks.)

it was never introduced to any other region, as it was in beta. go ahead and check ones like EUW or China, they all show the exact trend im saying. all players would have shifted up unless they were extremely new.

That's not official data, that's 3rd party data mined data which RIOT has time and again said to us in innacurate. It's not official from RIOT's mouth and I can tell you right now high silvers this season are absolutely better than last season, the macro play, counterpicking, map awareness. The Silver 1/2's I'm facing this season are easily on a par with the Gold 5/4's from last. easily.
There is definitely a change in MMR to ranks.
If gold is still the benchmark that's fine. like I said I don't expect to get any rewards.
