I'm sick of Irelia and her toxic kit.

True damage. a fast, long range dash. Burst damage. extremely tanky. 2 second stun. extremely potent slow. healing. more healing. high movement speed. high damage. high base damage. and low cooldowns, even on her ult.

Everything about her is toxic and for some reason she hasn't been dealt with yet. She's seen in the lcs, she's seen in solo Q. she's seen in blind pick. She crowds out picks and if she doesn't get banned you're either going to have a really strong advantage on your team, or the enemy team. it doesn't take long to learn her kit to play at a good level. I'm just sick of seeing her never take damage, burst the enemy back line and proceed to live with 75% HP. i'm getting annoyed with her and i'm SURE most others are too.

I'm sick of kids bitching, but I don't tell the world to nerf your ability to speak. So you'll just need to learn how to be constructive on your own. She's easy to counter, do some research.

My points still stay. She's toxic and who else can deal around 600+ bonus true damage atop of her already devastating abilities and auto attacks.

People sure love to use the word 'toxic'. What does that mean exactly? Does she do poisonous dot?

And 600 true damage? She'd have to be attacking you for about 8 seconds with Hilten Style activated in order to do that much true damage.

imagine building item 3075 on your top laner.

Low cooldowns, hahahahahahhaa.

Her Q starts off as 14 seconds and is usually the last skill you Max, her W is 15 seconds long no matter the level, her E is 8 seconds and neither does go down with leveling up.

What's funny is that your most played champions in ranked ATM are Vi, Kalista and Wukong. You automatically lose the right to whine about OP champs, if you ever had any.

it's funny because irelia can't even chase a kallista down

Riot themselves admitted it : "How to design a bruiser - first try gone wrong"

Her concept doesn't work. It's simply not healthy to the game. There's a reason "Better nerf Irelia" has become a meme already...

On the other hand she could have been a so complex and interesting champ with her blades. Think of a champion like Syndra, but blades instead of orbs ^^

I literally googled "Riot How to design a bruiser - first try gone wrong" and got nothing, so I must ask for source.

Also, as they stated in a patch 5.6, despite the meme, she has only been nerfed 4 times ever, and her last nerf was 3 years ago. So your comment about the "Better nerf Irelia" meme doesn't really hold up. She works well because she's flexible, but at the same time has flaws.

Just as I asked for source, here: http://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/news/game-updates/patch/patch-56-notes

Of course they didn't say it like that, that was the really short version. The actual problem i see in her design: she's either ON (murdering everything 1vs5 while being unkillable) or OFF (useless cannon fodder). The room inbetween that is very small. On feels totally frustrsting to play against, off is frustrating for the irelia player. You basicially have a champ that is always frustrating for at least one party...

Fighters should have both offensive and defensive options. If you have superior defense and offence at once you are dominating your opponent. If you are eve a little lacking you miss both and get squashed.

Also I think her theme as a lot of potential to make her an really awesome champ ("Syndra of the blades" ^^) and not just the characterless "ball of stats" she's right now...

Again, I ask for source to where they said that, otherwise I'll consider it your opinion, also she's by no means an ON/OFF Champion, depending on the enemy team and/or her advantage, she can opt for being more offensive or agressive, hell, even when building her main item you can choose what kind of route you will take: Bursty (Sheen)/Tankier (Phage).

Your "idea" for her loses value if you're describing her as a skin of Syndra and brushing off her current build as a "ball of stats".

I have literally zero idea how you can talk about Irelia as if she didn't have offensive and defensive options.

SaltyToplaneGoat1 votes

Sigh, please don't take that "Syndra with blades" literally. I just meant: what if you could control the four blades... seperatly? It would make her super complex, but in my eyes that's a good thing.

The route is ended when she finishes her trinity. Nice route you got there...

Irelia does: basic attack. All here abilities are: to make her basic attack/top prevent the enemy stopping her from basic attacking. And her ult for sustaining while basic attacking as well as proccing sheen for stronger basic attacking.

The defensive is in the passive and the sustain that come from her attacks. She's a pure offensive champ with defense stats pupmped into her, simple as that.

Her true damage has a cap at max level and is always static per autoattack, so you can stack health to counter it the same way you would counter attack damage with armor.

Thornmail, I believe, is a decent late-game item against her, and frozen heart during laning. Sunfire's cape isn't too shabby either, giving you both armor and health alongside the passive which helps trade against her due to all her normal spells forcing melee. Randuin's is also a decent option as well.

The kit isn't toxic - that word is overused. It is just strong. Unfortunately, Riot isn't allowed to nerf Irelia for another 3 years. If they do they will get too many "Better Nerf Irelia" memes sent to their head office...

I wasn't aware people still PLAYED Irelia, I never see her.

burst the enemy back line and live with 75% hp? what planet are you living on?

if you're losing to irelia stop putting together shit team compositions, she's like an above average team fighter who only has a single target conditional engage.

Let's overlook that you ignored what everyone said and focus on your 600+ true damage.

We will assume that you're speaking about a maxed out W, which deals 75 true damage per hit, which would mean she needs to net 8 autoattacks in the span of 6 seconds, which would need her to be somewhat late game, because an Irelia rarely build so many attack speed items and you'd need to say motionless in front of her during that while.

If that's the case, you have bigger issues than her W, and NOT fighting her during these 6 seconds is one of her major counterplays, your 3 mainly played characters all have means to escape or disrupt her, which leads us to the only possible outcome.

Learn to play agaisnt an enemy Champion's advantages or keep feeding. And jugding by your tendency to spit out the word "toxic" all over the area, my guess is that it will be the latter.
