Oh they totally have, your options for dealing with them are leaving and losing LP (or heaven forbid you are in a promo and just suffer an automatic loss), or play the game out and spend at least 20 minutes wishing you decided to do anything that night but play League of Legends.

The troll problem is just getting worse. One night i had 5 ranked games. 2 trolled, 2 afk, only 1 "normal" game... that's how bad it gets. Oh... and if u verbal abuse them, they can report you for sure. So the best thing really is just stop playing ranked

Funny you should mention that, I literally just had to dodge a game because I locked in Kha Zix for jg, but last pick decided he was the most important thing since sliced bread, locking in Master Yi saying if I so much as took 1 buff he was feeding. Great to be thinking about 3LP i didnt deserve to lose for 5 minutes while I wait to simply get back in queue

Enemy locks in Yasuo, I pick Wukong mid because I'm confident I can beat him.

Last pick: I called mid, Fuck you picking wukong mid gg. Then he locks in ghost clarity teemo. My duo ended up dodging but jesus Christ I wanted to rip that little 10 year old's fucking head off.

I like the idea of this, but in reality, you are guaranteeing a loss by doing it. Everyone gets angry, even your own teammates could be mad at you for "not giving in."

I mean if you know you're going to lose, this is a great way to go down. With sweetness and love.

Of course I'd rather have a way to not spend the next 20-40 minutes with them at all.

just played a game where our fifth pick says "jung or feed". of course i went into this game hoping to play jungle. I happened to get second pick so it was quite likely that I would, until this person chimes in. I bite my tongue and go top, mainly because i'm playing with a friend and his friend, and i don't want to ruin their game by provoking this asshole. then they pick vayne jungle. Provides zero ganks while each enemy lane is pushing us into our turrets and getting kills. I happened to TP and get a quadra kill as Dr. Mundo which kept us in the game.

While she is farming her devourer, they invade as a (fed) group multiple times and delay her stacks, to which she responds "these guys are such faggots, i need my stacks." She eventually finishes her sated devoured, and says "gg now the fun begins". For who exactly, you ? smh. By this time every enemy champion (including support) has 4+ kills, with the mid and adc have 7 kills each. Vayne then proceeds to 3 shot any person on the enemy team. She tries to 1v5 several times and gets bitch slapped each time.

We eventually win, because I had 10 kills myself, and full item build while others were mostly at 4 items. Vayne ends up going 10-8 or thereabouts, some pitiful score, but we win because the 4 of us worked as a team, I was fed and unkillable mundo . Oh, and the useless vayne killed their tanks with 3 autos. IF I'm exaggerating, it might have taken 4.

all in all a terrible experience and I'm starting to believe what people say about vayne players.

looking back i think i should have just went jungle anyway, and then let vayne troll and feed. perhaps that would have given me a more reportable offense

We really need a way, some way, to be able to deal with champ select trolls and extreme rudeness. You shouldn't have to PLAY a 20-40 minute game WITH THEM in order to Report them, when they have already called people faggots, or racist crap, or insta-locked a role that was already picked, or threatened to afk/feed in order to totally throw the team off.

When someone says [role] or feed/afk. It can really screw up the whole mood of the game, and people are already half on tilt. For the rest of us that have self-control and manners, it really sucks that we have no power to do anything, except to be forced to play with them or punish ourselves.

I was in series 4 times in one night and this crap kept happening and I couldn't dodge because that's instant loss for me in my series. So my hands were tied.

The op said to his team that he wanted a specific role, he would probably have been ready to compromise if someone asked, but no one did.

The insta locker took the role, after the op stated he wanted the role, and told the op and the rest of his team to shut up, because he wanted the role.

What the insta locker did was bad because it means that the insta locker was not going to be playing for his team, and he set the mood for the rest of the game to be bad.

You're defending the insta locker for taking what he wanted without caring for his team at all.

I'm defending the op for having his words ignored and his role stolen by someone who didn't care about his team.

Either way it's wrong, and you shouldn't be playing a team game if you're selfish like that. When it happens to someone else in my blind pick lobby, I get pissed because it's so much BS drama, and I can tell that person is not a team player. "Oh, but I always play support." Go do team builder or draft pick if you can't ever get your role. I haven't ever had a problem like that, and when I don't get my role. I do whatever is left.

It's not. It's a team game, and if you're just focusing on you all the time, then why bother playing a team oriented game that requires you to communicate and be strategic? The problem with auto locking, besides showing your teammates you're immature, is that you mess with your team comp. Blind pick is not somewhere that you can troll and do whatever you want, despite what some of you in my games try to make it into.

Stop with the toxic behavior that at best, is going to annoy someone, and at worst will cause someone to also troll you. Then we got two trolls in the game. It makes for an unpleasant game, just stop doing stuff like that. Stop going against your team.

You need to go to team builder if you're an auto locker. That is where you belong if you feel you absolutely just need to be one role, and one champ. Normals is where you practice, or try off meta builds, but you always put in the effort to be a team player, and to try as best you can. That's not asking a lot, especially in this game.

The literal thing about blind pick is that whoever locks in first usually wins the role unless someone wants to lock in too and go like double mid or something. Blind pick is the most toxic queue in the game. If you want a game without auto lockers and people like that, just play team builder or draft. Those queues are much better.

Blind pick sort of is the place where you can troll and do whatever, by nature blind pick queue is...well blind and anyone, absolutely anyone can lock in anything they want whether you called it or not. At least draft pick has the traditionally understood pick order, and team builder is...well team builder and if you can get through the 40 minute wait to find a bot lane it's not so bad.

Overall however, draft is the superior SR champ select and always will be. Unless you want to play something specific (teambuilder), you should likely want to play draft...unless of course you don't have enough champions to play draft yet. Then just stick to team builder if you don't mind the waits, or just endure blind pick (or just play arams).

If you feel like you need to be one role, and one champion, then we know where you can go. When I was using the word you, i was referring to everyone who has that kind of attitude towards blind pick. Draft pick is not immune to these type of people anyways, and I still run into them quite a bit. Actually I've run into more trolls in the draft games I've done, and I've done far more blind pick and team builder games. That also isn't something that stops people from locking in, so I don't see the point.

The attitude some people have towards blind pick is exhausting because it does not have to be that way. Auto lockers should not be welcomed in blind pick, and should be considered trolling. It creates a toxic environment for the whole team from champion select. A lot of times I just end up dodging, but I have no idea what I'll do when this happens in ranked, which is also a draft pick...

It is extremely, extremely rare that I ever see anyone do such things even in draft pick normals. Generally everyone follows the pick orders and role calls to a degree, unless of course there is a misunderstanding in communication which can happen sometimes.

Yes, blind pick doesn't have to be that way but there will always be people who do that in blind pick.

No. It's not victim blaming, so stop searching for something that isn't there. This thread isn't about what he said, but it's clear as day that what he said was against the rules.

I think we all recognize that his offensive message was a problem, and Riot does do a good job at dealing with harassment. That is one thing I can say they know how to handle. It's the selfish attitude of auto lockers that create a toxic game that they aren't dealing with. Many times they aren't going to say something like that, and you're going to have just as terrible a game.

Nobody here disputes that the kind of language that player was using was okay because it is explicitly against the rules to act gross like that. Stop trying to make this into something it's not.
