she is not primarily single target nor does she do enough damage to instakill squishies. Her Q is DPS and her ultimate isn't capable of killing someone since it will never deal damage over the target's remaining HP.

how is this character even classified as an assassin? hope the rework actually makes her an assassin instead of stealth rumble.

Aside from her ult, what part of Eve isn't an assassin? Have you even played her? Like, seriously lol? What kind of drugs are you on and where can I get some? If I were as messed up as you currently are, I'd think plants were a great feature to add into the game.
That's the intention of her getting a full VGU, yes.
Eve IS single target (her Q targets one enemy, her E is a targeted spell, and she's auto attack based)
The only thing AoE that an eve will try to hit everybody with is ulti and even that doesn't do anything significant, its mostly for the slow and shields.
She's not a mage. That's like calling kassadin and skarner a mage just because they spam abilities.
She's not even an assassin anymore either, she's a diver (i find that questionable but it's riot's view on her) like nocturne.
