Give me one good reason to run an assassin mid lane over a mage
Assassins:
Bad/no waveclear
Primarily single target
Little to no utility
Complete liability past 25 minutes
Risky picks, will be completely useless if they don't snowball
Completely invalidated by
and
Have to commit to kills
Mages (and Gangplank since he's basically the AD equivalent of a mage): Amazing waveclear AOE Utility Scale Safe picks, can function by just CSing properly Cast from the backline while still keeping up with assassins in terms of damage output Are called "AP carries" for a reason
Your Zed went 5/0? lmao doesn't matter good luck trying to siege against Lux/Xerath/Anivia without baron buff. Your team comp didn't cater to your AD assassin Talon mid laner? Good luck trying to beat the braindead tanks who stack armor.
Funnily enough the only time assassins are god tier nowadays is if they fuck off and stay in the jungle where they can roam and snowball because they simply do not have the tools to be successful mid laners.
Jungle:
ADC:
(relies on end game scaling) and
are useless if they aren't ahead. My personal favorite mid lane asassin is
because you can Cs from a distance with your Q, and lv 6 you will most likely have a better item build than a mage that needs a lot of gold for items like
and
,
and can run attack speed with
main I have no problem at all crushing

Ad assasins also has better itemization. You can rush zhonyas as mage but after few rotations say bye bye to your mana pool.Meanwhile ad assasins can rush hexdrinker and make you useless,if you playing burst mage. Also mages dont have mobility ,unlike assasins.
