Jungle Ezreal fits his thematic better than lane Ezreal
He is the guy who goes on adventures and takes risks. Sitting in a lane and working with somebody for a prolonged period of time just doesn't fit his theme IMO.

Lots of things don't make any sense lorewise in this game. Thresh support???? He's like the Freddy Krueger of LoL... what is he doing babysitting someone else... Sion that says he's never backing down from a fight and then ults away
But worse... Gragas legit throws aways kegs at enemies... WHAT ALCOHOLIC WOULD THROW AWAY BARRELS OF BEER???
And we still don't know where Gangplank's ship that he signals with his ult to shoot is harbouring on Summoner's Rift. Or the ship has very very very long bombard range.
What kind of rich former pirate king does not have magic cannons on his ship?
Naturally those things have massive range, can't be known as the bully of the high seas without them.
And take a moment to consider the exquisite quality of the black powder he uses for his barrels and guns, a rich pirate would of course use it for his cannons as well.
It makes perfect sense that cannons with range enhancing magic+top tier and possibly magic gunpowder got outrageous range^^
Considering the location of the fields of justice and the curvature of the planet, the flare he fires up to signal his ship shouldn't be visible at all to his crew. The powder charge you'd need to launch a projectile that far is huge, let's not forget the fact there's no way for them to estimate the distance. What about wind speeds? Accuracy? How close is that boat? We can hear the guns firing. But there's no bays nearby. Maybe the cannons are so loud anyone close enough goes deaf.
Or just discount the fact gangplank is dead anyways

He´s not dead! He just lost an arm and will "TAKE BACK WHAT´S MINE" now. Bilgewater will be his once more!
Now I'm surprised he doesn't have a Pulsefire skin.
He does have the dreadnova, pretty much the slightly less fancy but evil version.
Before I knew lore and when I played some of old GP, I thought his ship was in the sky.
yeah i thought he stole Swain's airship? I could be wrong though
Thresh makes sense because he doens't want to kill like a carry. He wants to flay people around continuously and what better role than support to do that.
Top lane/jungle bruiser or tank?
Sure if you want to I guess?
Wanna play Yasuo like a wanderer? Go jungle as well.
Wanna play Galio as a statue? Stay in base until a team fight breaks out and join in at the last second if the enemy team uses magic.
######That sounds pretty fun tbh...
Wanna play Karthus like someone obssesed with death? Intfeed and watch your funeral 20 times a game.
Old Karthus would be super into that considering his lore.
This thread is amazing.
Watch me whip
Now watch me flay

Watch me whip whip, now watch me flay flay.
Now watch me flip - and run awa - way.

Uh! Chase me! Chase me!

I have personally been witness to a thresh top make wukong cry all the way back to the Nexus. the passive has a lot of strength in top lane.

The alcoholic that knows he will magically get it back right after
he just supports kalista in lore?
Kalista has no tie to thresh other then being corrupted by the mist

TBH if they locked all ranged champs and are camping you that almost makes sense
Though he still is a titanic sized zombified one man army running away yelling as if he's a badass, the amusement factor is still high
You belong in a Jungle! You belong in a Jungle! You belong in a Jungle! You belong in a Jungle! You belong in a Jingle! You belong in a Jangle! You belong in a Jungle! You belong in a Jungle! [sg-ezreal]
"Who needs a map."
Makes more sense in the jungle then just saying randomly in bot lane.
ADC Ezreal doesn't need to look at the mini-map, since his support will do it for him. :D
Meanwhile jungle Ezreal needs it to decide where to gank.
To be completely honest I wouldn't mind him being reworked slightly into an actual jungler. And with that nerfing his currently ridiculous gank pattern (E in at near flash range, proc red buff from 1100 units away and then auto chase).
It's worse than early game Elise ganks and she's the queen of early game ganks.
I don't think it's worse. In fact I think Elise is better.
Only difference is that Elise has a few seconds from rappel whereas Ezreal is more unpredictable. I'd put Elise above Ezreal still because she has CC and more up-front burst.
Rework Elise
Graves transitioned from ADC to Jungler, there is no reason why Ezreal can't either.
Yes there is.
First of all just cause Graves mains were alienated if they like ADC more doesn't mean it's okay to alienate Ezreal mains.
Second of all Graves was not inteiobally turned into a jungler only by Riot. It's just ADC graves was nerfed too hard.
how can you say it will alienate Ezreal players, when they are the ones making the innovation first?
I mean I absolutely hate jungling and Ezreal was my preferred adc down bot.
You say that like most ezreal players are playing him and want him in jungle.
Part of the reason people take him jungle is because he isn't strong bot lane.

Graves transitioned from ADC to Jungler, there is no reason why Ezreal can't either.
Graves's transition was because of changes Riot made to his kit.
Ezreal's transition is largely due to his reliance on mana to farm in lane. There is no AD mana item, but the knife gives 225% regen in the jungle.
In this situation, Riot is kind of being forced by the playerbase to address a champion who suffers from a serious lack of identity (an AD mage with no CC? What the fuck do you even do with that?)
The quick bandaid fix is already on the PBE, making Manamune stack faster because Archangel's already stacks twice as fast as Tear while having more mana refunding.
The long term fix is giving Ezreal a brand new W to make up for how long they've left Essence Flux butchered and useless. And all the AP Ez mid players will cry and moan and I won't give a shit because they had all these years to enjoy their champ at the expense of people who want to play Ez bot.
Ummm manamune exists...

except for the fact that he has a 47 percent win rate and is a garbage jungler in general. I've never seen one win.
Were you around last year/early this year when it was Graves/Kha/Lee Sin/Ivern 24/7 all solo carrying the game? How about in competitive games for almost 2 months it was almost EXCLUSIVELY Graves VS Ivern? Graves is NOT good right now because he got hit with the Nerf N-Strike Sword like 10 times because he was so incredibly overtuned and then all his items kept getting nerfed (BC went to more health and I believe the DD/PD combo also got hit at one point).

I'm not confused, I'm frustrated by the clear logical fallacy portrayed here.
I'm a senior in engineering. That post would make my statistics professor cringe.
Guy needs to get a proper sample size if he's going to use it to supplement a statistic.
The problem with Jungle Ezreal is the his ganks are risk free.
There is always a chance of outplaying, even killing the enemy jungler, but with ranged ones they just kite back and there is nothing you can do.
Even Graves and Kindred don't have the range of that guy.
