I went 0-1-15 janna and got A-
Why did i only get an A- for a 27minute game? in that exact game that maokai got an S. I thought i did so well but according to your grade system i didn't try hard enough :(

you are being weighted against all other Janna players. Maybe other Janna players have better scores than you at that point of the game?
No. Champion Mastery doesn't grade you based on your skill level against other players. It grades you on how well you did on the specific game with that champion.

yes it does. It compares you to every single other player using that champion. It doesn't just look at your current game with that champion
Again, you are wrong. That is not what champion mastery is made for. It looks at your current game skill not your skill vs. other players. If you have solid evidence to prove this, I will forsay I am wrong.

champion mastery compares the scores/minion kills/gold earned/etc of champions who are at a similar time in the game.
the OP was probably compared with jannas who ended at 27 minutes and he might have been in the top 25% percent of all jannas who end at 27 minutes. so he got an a-

What goes into the grading system? How do you calculate it?
It’s based on the champion and role that you just played in a game. So, for example, we look at Annie mid differently to Annie support. We take a series of performance metrics and compare how you do to all other players in your region in your champion / position combination. It is percentile driven - so earning a high score means you performed in the top x% of players on that champ in that position. The grade itself governs the point gains.

Grades Hover over your Champion Mastery points bar in the post-game screen and you’ll see the grade that our new system gives you. Grades are awarded based on your overall performance in the role along with the champion you’re playing and, crucially, where you’re playing them.

since you obviously cannot read
Ok I scrolled down to the FAQ. I intended to delete what I said. So I am wrong.
Are you saying you went 0/1/15 and expected a higher grade or were you not expecting an A-?
Not just the score in general, just how i played and what i did to do such a great job. I felt i deserved better.
To start off, you had 15 assists. Thats very good because it means you had a lot of kill participation. Next, it really depends on your assistance with objective control and team fight control, and since you were Janna it could count how much you shielded, healed, protected etc. So you getting an A- means you did great but not excellent so there is still room to improve! Hope this helps! :)
Champion Mastery system isn't the most accurate, pretty much your entire score is solely based off of if you win a game or not and then a few extra points for kills and stuff.
I wen't like 22 - 4 with Miss Fortune, 450 CS, had to clear and push every way and take most objectives, my top and jungle fed so hard and had no idea what to do so it was just me, my support, and my mid laner most of the game. We lost but I was expecting like 500 points at least and at least an A. I got a B and 223 points.
The next game I went like 6 - 4 did alright, we won the game pretty easy and fast. I ended up getting like 1,000 points and another A. But still, If i'm going 6-4 and having an average game without making any #lcsbigplays, but when I do and carry my entire team against a really strong team and I get only 200 points, the system is pretty stupid.
So don't blame yourself lol, you're probably doing a lot better than what it says you are doing. 0-1-15 is really good and it looks like your ADC was doing good too.
Maybe you did too much? IE taking all the cs, leaving your team to starve. Idk, but I've gotten an A+ on lost games.
