Can't cleanse malz ult.

ApexInTheCircle··1 votes·9,234 views

not sure if it's a glitch or not, but I took cleanse on my lux mid and I can't seem to remove his ult. Intended or not? If it's not then it needs to be fixed. If it is then it needs to be nerfed because that's horse shit.

Cleanse only removes stuns ,roots, slows etc ,not suppresses. You have Qss for that.

then the tooltip for cleanse needs to be changed because it says all debuffs.

A crowd control is technically a form of debuff. Though with the case of Malzahar's ultimate (along with Warwick Skarner Urgot ults and TahmKench Devour on enemies) its the HARDEST CC IN THE GAME that doesn't allow you to do much at all.

You can get the low-down of how a Suppression works and how it affects champions here at the very bottom of the page.

Then the tooltip needs to put in parentheses (except suppression) because it's misleading when it states (all disables).

I play a shit ton of EVE online and alot of stuff in that game is on a learn as you go basis (that's the way the game was meant to be) League isn't one of those games, something shouldn't be stated in the tooltip then be completely different in game.

So you also want it to have a really long tooltip that includes this: has no effect on Suppression, knockup, knockback, pull, and self crowd control.

League IS one of those games though where you can learn new shit in some crazy ways.

Did you know that you can item 3157 stasis and ult as Fiddlesticks Morgana Heimerdinger Annie Swain and not lose your ult while you are in stasis? Did you know that Tryndamere can activate Undying Rage even when suppressed? Did you know that Zac can cast summoner 11 during Elastic Slingshot? Did you know that Sion can jump over some walls when he hits them with Unstoppable Onslaught? Did you know that Malzahar's Voidlings benefit from the physical damage portion passives of item 3123/item 3033 & item 3071 ?

I can probably find more stuff like this... But its getting long already.

Sometimes you just gotta experiment and learn something new the hard way or have it used against you.

Or look up tips on any champion you're learning.

Void Nargacuga1 votes

I do that too as well. Actually its like the first thing I usually do before I even jump into a bot game to practice that champions basic mechanics. Sometimes though it doesn't list every possible unique interaction that champion has. And you end up finding funny and/or weird ones with experimental builds. Or just from the wording of an item. Example: item 3123/item 3033 with Mazlahar's Voidlings. It doesn't say auto attacks or basic attacks, it says Physical Damage will cause Grevious Wounds. Same goes for item 3071's armor shredding passive for the Voidlings.

lol Looks like we're crossing paths in different discussions. Only just realized that.

Anyway, the more methods you use to learn about your champ, the better. I'm a big fan of researching champion tips and careful examination of item/ability wording. :)

I just couldn't help making a note that I heard Stonewall008 say about him trying to play Nidalee Jungle, so I felt it was appropriate for that comment series.

Oh yeah, the more research you do the better I think! Wording of some items or abilities can really make for some interesting interactions once you start looking for them.

Okay I can admit to you being right, I'm pretty fucking salty about losing to a malzahar in lane during one of my series games. But now I know summoner 1 is a trash tier summoner that I shall not be using again.

Void Nargacuga1 votes

Its not trash. As an example: Take it against Veigar and laugh as his only source of a stun gets cleansed and you get out of it and away from his Dark Matter that takes what feels like forever to land. Hell even summoner 21 is still a great summoner to use as well. I've used it as Xerath and negated a Yasuo's (sad and pathetic) attempt to ult me and kill me. It was hilarious I knew I was gonna get hit with the tornado and ulted so I waited till the last moment of the ult animation to activate it and that shielded me for quite a bit of the damage negating it. I had fun poking him down and killing him afterwards.

ApexInTheCircle2 votes

yeah i just looked at the tooltip again, it says all disables and debuffs. So Riot needs to change what the spells says because I wasted a summoner due to horrible clarity on their part.

QSS doesn't remove suppression.

Nothing stops a malz ult other than an outside stun to him.

No, it doesn't. They changed it.

Suppresions are still canceled by item 3140

No, it doesn't. They changed it.

They changed only for debuffs like zed ultimate.

Cleanse is a worthless summoner spell and I got jewed out of decent summoner because of horrible clarity.
