Can we talk about Nasus?

So I've had, more than my share of games now, where my team is winning the entire game. We secure absolutely every objective, we take the first towers, the first inhib. Work together to ace the enemy team countless times. Even go as far as to start warding roaming areas so we can set up and attack their team. You know? A good game. Everything is going fine, until fucking Nasus shows up.

It never seems to matter how coordinated my team is, how well we work together. If they have a Nasus, anything after 40 minutes is their game to win. We can try to burst him down, sure, but then their ADC, Mid, and Jungler will be left to burst us down. And we can't ignore him either. Not when he has enough Q stacks to 2 shot our Adc. Essentially bulldozing past everyone, being tanky enough to do so, and just slap his Q down on our poor ADC. It feels like absolute bull shit to me.

Either we focus Nasus, and get cleaned off by his enemy team. Or we focus his team, as you would in any other situation, and get picked off by his Q. It seems like the only way to beat a team with a Nasus is to be skilled enough to not only burst down his team, as quickly and efficiently as possible. But to have enough health left, and enough team mates left, to survive his Q smacks.

What's worse is, he can just tank our towers and crush them with his Q. So his team doesn't even have to worry about tower diving. They can do so and won't be punished for it. Which I feel is even greater bull shit.

Then now only are we forced to defend. But if any one of our team mates is killed, by say poke ults, we're done for. We can't 4 v 5 them. Not with nasus around. The game is over.

Tl:DR - Whenever I face a nasus, anything Early-Mid Game doesn't matter. He's always going to win Late game if his team is competent enough.

I don't think he's really that strong. He's a decent champion, but at the end of the day he can just be killed, and doesn't bring any immediate shock value to a teamfight (like a Malphite ult might). I used to think I had to snowball against a Nasus when I played against him in lane and that if I didn't kill him it meant a loss, but that's really not true. I just farm up myself and become strong.

Nothing to see here guys. Just Nasus being a Nasus.

Kite him. Seriously. Its stupid easy. He has no gap closers. If your ADC is in range to get withered, they're baddies.

His splitpushing is meh at best-- he's good at killing turrets, but again, no mobility. Hella easy to catch and kill.

He's a good frontline tank to protect his ADC/APC. Thats it.

Wither is range 600, which is more than all ADC's attack range, except Cait, high level Trist, and Kog, Jinx, and Twitch with their respective range boost abilities.

That's what the support is there for.

Nasus is made to be a siege boss esque lategame champion.

Not saying I like that. Just saying that's how Riot wants him currently.

Where was your frontline? Or your support? Or the 9 escapes most ADCs have now adays? Also, you just listed like half of the ADCs in the game.

I'm saying that your ADC can't get in range to kill him without getting withered. That's all.

Yeah. True enough, but, you shouldnt be focusing him in teamfights either. Any other tank would just hard-CC lock your ADC if they engaged on him.

Well if he was weak early/mid game and weak late game still what would be the purpose of him?

Your problem is that your top is not denying Nasus farm. ...... Blatantly put that's the solution to your problem. Your top has to pull the lane to their tower as fast as they can, and then last hit under tower. Or at least in the middle of the lane. Meanwhile, your jungle has to gank every so often so that Nasus can't actually go down lane and fight for Q stacks.

^^ If you completely fail to do this, and you don't win early....... well that's your fault.
