When an ADC is alone in lane vs a Support

Ive done it as naut at level 10-14 many times. It takes some nuance (and summoner spells) but its always possible before they get lifesteal. I imagine a mage support could win in most situations at any (annie) point tho

Not enough skill to play Lux or Morgana.

Ryze is my best champion. I simply feel that my team is better off with me playing a champion I am genuinely good with as opposed to a more powerful pick like say... Leona or Thresh. Sure I have a good kit, but what good is that kit if, like the fellow said before, I don't have the experience necessary as those champions to win the matchup? i've had times, and this is in low gold/high silver, mind you, where i've been able to 2v1 the enemy ADC and Supp and outplay them by... ahem, desperate power.

Ryze is a champion you bring as support when you want to obliterate your enemies. He's best with an ADC like Graves or Ashe that can either do a lot of damage very quickly (Just like him, even as a support) or stun someone long enough for him to get one combo off, because one combo is usually all it takes.

As for his cons... He doesn't fight well against a Graves, Draven or Braum. So if you see any of them on the enemy team, steer clear. Braum blocks his entire combo with his shield and Graves/Draven simply do too much damage to leave room for plays (Which you HAVE to make as Ryze support) Also, Kindred is his hard counter. If you see a Kindred on the enemy team and you pick Ryze supp you're basically done. Her invulnerability makes your sustain and burst useless. Ryze supp thrives on being able to kill them before they kill you. If you can't kill them, even if you're invulnerable for a short time as well, you can't do anything. It's hard to put into words, please forgive that. But trust me, Kindred is a no-go. If you can get her on your team though she and him are pretty good.

I've had people add me after the game saying things like: I didn't know Ryze support was so good... It's hard to believe but either. 1: I'm really good at Ryze, or 2: Ryze is just in a very good spot and can successfully be played as support. One of the two.

Spellthief isn't a bad item on him. Take it with Bandit and you actually make a lot of gold. I've seen poor saps use relic shield and have 400/600 gold by 30 minutes while I had 1k/1.2k...
