It feels like every time Ashe goes up against Draven in lane, she's required to lose

Tell me what an Ashe can do against a Draven in lane? Passive farm? Draven will win out in gold gains thanks to his passive once he kills you. Fight him? Complete suicide, he does practically DOUBLE your damage. Call for ganks? Too bad your jungler is ignoring you or getting his ass kicked. Turret hug? Since when are turrets any sort of deterrent when they're STILL useless? Besides, Draven can ult you under turret and instantly kill you with that.

Only thing I can think of is lane swap and hope he doesn't follow you top lane.

All he needs is for his teammate to either set him up or to land his E and Ashe is a free kill for him. She doesn't outrange him by much and her AA wind-up is crap, so by the time she fires, he will be in range to hit her.

well if we're just assuming that supports always perfectly land skillshots, then ashe's support should just peel or shield her. and ashe's range advantage allows her to farm safely more than harass, and since draven is a bully that NEEDS to kill early to snowball or he just gets wrecked in teamfights, then ashe is totally fine if she just sits back and safely farms.

and she actually does outrange a charging draven by quite a lot if you use her volley.

Draven is a lane bully with a lot of early damage. Ashe is a late-game carry with a lot of utility. They are different champions with different goals and playstyles.

If you are straight-up fighting a Draven in lane, you're probably playing the match-up wrong unless your jungler is ganking for you or your support is dominating them. Against Draven, you want to farm and deny him kills (he gets more gold from stacks which he needs a kill to access, you get more gold from your passive). Around level 6, you have access to your ultimate and you can use that to set-up plays in other lanes or initiate a gank on Draven.

Later in the game, when both Draven and Ashe have several items, Ashe can usually kill squishy opponents within the duration of her stun (or close enough that she can win the following fight). Ashe provides initiation, kiting, vision, and damage for her team while Draven provides significantly more damage and less utility. Depending on what your team needs and how fights are progressing, Ashe's utility is typically of greater value than Draven's pure damage if used correctly.

If you're going to suggest a lane swap keep in mind you may have to give up your support. Many top laners can handle the enemy ADC in lane, but only a few can handle their support as well. If you go top alone there's a higher chance their ADC will stay bot, but if you're unwilling to take the risk and would prefer to keep your support push down top tower as fast as you can, do the same with mid, and then prepare for dragon. You don't want to set your top laner too far behind.
