Yay or Nay? Give some reasons as well.

unless the enemy support is melee, i can't imagine she'd have an easy time poking. and peeling for her adc requires getting pretty close to land w, probably good if the jungler ganks though. i tried it once and it didn't go too well, but who knows, maybe i just suck with her.

She's more of an anti-assassin.

I don't think she could deal with the long range poke even though she has a lot of utility. I wouldn't see the benefit since she's much stronger in top lane and mid lane. There are also many supports that could be of more assistance to the ADC during the laning phase.

On the upside, she offers a truly disgusting amount of crowd control. Her passive also lets you get an earlier Sightstone, since you don't need a mana item fast. Overall, will not be getting near her AD carry without killing her first. This gives her a lot of base utility, although she scales a lot better with a solo-lane budget than with a support one. Her main problem is that her main harass spell (her Q) has abysmal range unless you hit it through minions or their support. This means that when she uses her admittedly strong harass, she ends up shoving the lane super hard, and possibly taking CS from her carry. It's not the worst pick in the world, (coughsonajunglecough), but it's best only in certain matchups, against someone like Braum or Leona, who she can peel away and bully easily.

Yeah I realize it's a situational pick at best, and from what I've seen playing her she really needs her items. Sona Jungle though? That's a thing?

I've seen people try it. She couldn't even clear wolves after a smiteless leash on Gromp. We would've lost that game, but then our Vayne got fed to hell, so she just carried all of us.

Lissandra support is viable, but not ideal. It's not that she doesn't have the utility for it. She does. Her engage in the bot lane is very strong, and can make for a nice kill lane. It's just a less efficient place to put her compared to a solo lane, and in the support position, others do what she does better. Her ult either stuns only a single person or gives her selfish utility, so it's not like she can aoe stun entire teams as a support, like some mages-turned-supports do. The main reason you pick lissandra as a support is to blink into the middle of their team with your claw and snare them as an initiation (throw your ult on yourself so you don't die instantly), while the rest of your team runs in. If that's all you're picking her for, though, malphite support does the same thing with his ult, but it's a lot harder to deal with. You don't get to build much damage as a support, so lissandra's excellent scalings go to waste.

Too squishy. Compare her to supps like Nautilus, Thresh, Blitz - they also have soft and hard cc, but are way tankier than liss.

Kinda needs high tier items e.g athene's/morello's, dcap, zhonya's,most likely abyssal if you need tank stats that is roa and liandry's, etc

Needs items to teamfight properly, is quite short ranged for a mage and needs to push to harass.

Aww and she had so much potential.
