@Meddler: Would Diana qualify as a Champion who could get changes similar to Urgot's previous ones?

Diana, as everyone knows, is in a lousy spot due to having no real role, as well as no ability to recover if she falls behind (which easily happens), all because "tanky AP assassin/fighter" is a toxic Champion design (apparently). But since your team won't remake her until at least mid-2015, why not give her a mini-buff in the interim?

If there's any skill I'd look at, it's Moonsilver Blade. Make it give her more AS based on her level, and it can be more useful. If you have to take away some burst damage, so be it; make her more auto-attack reliant.

Wanna know what I think about Diana? She's trying to compete with Akali on AP dive-assassin, but Akali is better because she's expressly designed for it. Diana isn't, and her attempt to compete with Akali on that front is laughable. Diana should go a different route, something like a magic-damage version of Master Yi.

At least, that's what I'd do.

I really doubt Diana's issue is being a tanky assassin. Literally half of the fighters in LoL are tanky assassins. Lee Sin, Jax, Irelia, Wukong, Xin'Zhao, Vi, Riven, the list is pretty extensive.

From what I've seen about reds posting about her, Diana has 2 main issues:

  1. The Irelia issue. Diana does slightly more than other fighters like Irelia. Her CC is better, her durability scales better with that style, her range, wave-clear, farming potential, and vision generation is better. That's mostly the Morello issue of problems.

  2. A counterplay issue. Phreak commented on this not to long ago - but Diana's release numbers were solid enough she could RQWEA someone with no real warning and offering no real work around. Obviosuly she gets another R if she opens with Q, but you can easily miss a Q first and it allows an opponent to dodge and work around it. Opening with R removes that capacity - and essentially insures her Q lands.

As for Urgot buffs - IDK. Diana is struggling, but she doesn't seem to be struggling nearly as hard as Urgot.

Fun fact: You actually used to be able to build AP on Master Yi. It was better than his AD path, which was all kinds of sad. He also spawned tons of QQ threads, though that can be said of any assassin.

When I said AP Master Yi, I didn't mean his old toxic style. I meant a rapid auto-attacker, but one who scales off AP better than AD. An ideal Nashor's Tooth user.
