NEW Clarity. 80% Mana back!

People are talking about diversity in Summoner spells. I always thought that the cooldowns should vary based on the spell a bit more than they do now. But that's besides the point. How would it be if Clarity gave you back 60-80% if you were alone or the closest ally has 80% or more of their mana remaining. That would make it more viable and it could give mid laners sustain in a tough assassin based environment.

I don't think increasing the mana really fixes the problem. Summoner's spells are generally saved for life and death situations, and more mana typically isn't going to be worth some true damage or an escape/engage. Giving it more mana would just make it a better laning spell, and no one really wants a laning spell.

You sound like someone that doesn't lane against Cass much.

Nope. Mid is my worst lane. ^^

The problem with clarity is that it's really only useful early game. It needs to have a secondary effect (Bonus MR, armor, etc.) for it to be worthwhile the whole game.

I think fall off is kind of in the design of much of Riots ideas. The only thing that doesn't fall off is flash really. I just think they wanted most Sum spells to fall off. If not Ignite would scale with time and level. If a game last 40 minutes or more, ignite doesn't do shit. If you had Clarity give more mana you might see people build damage first instead of having to build mana regen as a core item.

Ignite still provides the heal reduction all game. Exhaust is great all game. Teleport is great all game. Heal is great all game. So all summoners should be useful all game.

80% and it'd be really good. It wouldn't fall off that hard endgame on Seraph's Embrace users since it'd be able to get them back to full mana for a really big shield from it, and then they'd still have enough mana to fight afterwards even with using a whole lot on the shield. And it'd be very helpful for them early game when they run out of mana really easily.

Alternatively, it could be a new option for mana hungry bot lanes since giving them both extra mana could be really useful early game.

Edit: but I really would like to see it buffed as right now, it's almost never used and diversity would be better. Even if it gave like 80% mana there wouldn't be much of a threat of it becoming way op or anything, as all it does is give mana. It doesn't do anything that would be very gamebreaking.
