That was a quote from dovahjayce, one of the best jayce streamers out there.

But his point is pretty fucking valid, I can't name any non-cancer top laners.. And that's why top lane is best lane: The sollution to all of our problems isn't to nerf them, it's to respond by overbuffing more shit to fight that release zoey

Top lane is such a diverse role that the only way a champion can become "the meta" is by being so powerful that it beats every class of champion. That means it either has to be cancerous or busted as hell.

this game needs more cancer, not less.

The issue everyone has with things being too strong is "How am I supposed to contend with that"

well each champ needs a 'that' at which point they will also be so cancer that the game will therefore be balanced

in addition, by virtue of popularity and counter picks, metas will be evershifting because when everyone is playing assassins for one week, then everyone swaps over to anti-assassins within a week, then those champs get counter picked, and so on

I agree with what MarshBouy commented. Toplane is the most diverse role and in order to be meta you have to beat literally every role, which means you're busted as hell.

But honestly Jayce is the most cancerous toplaner not gonna lie, after him its probably Camille

His cancer is an unfortunate side effect of lethality being such a well rounded stat and two of its items being not only cheap, but also providing CDR and movement

Jayce was actually a manageable issue when he needed to build a mana item before ramping up as well as needed to build as a sort of off-bruiser, making him cast more than Q+E to get a kill. I actively play the bruiser jayce style and it winds up feeling less jenky glass cannon shooting nukes, and way more like a medium defense consistent damage fighter.

then again I'm that guy who never actually had any issues (Or interest in playing as) yasuo, tank fizz, tank ekko, or other similar strange builds. But many of the people who play such mobile, low CD champions really love that 1v1 style those champions excelled at
