Now that we finally nerfed janna...
Can we allow one thresh per team? There's just not enough balance to go around.

I find Taric does well against Thresh lanes, but in general I agree. I hate Thresh's overloaded kit.
Lulu, Alistar, Jana, and Morg are great against Thresh. This is coming from a Thresh main.

Wow, just because I'm lower ranked you assume my thoughts/ opinions are invalid. Below I've listed why I think these are great against a Thresh. Thresh is pretty balanced over all.
Lulu - really good poke, shields, and polymorph over all really great peel.
Alistar - E and Q to engage or disengage, if he is decent you won't be able to keep near the carry
Jana - so much peel Thresh can't even Flay the adc you might be able to AA it though
Morg - 50 year snare with a large hit box, spell shield, and a really good ulti.
Against all of these you have to be aware of their cool downs. I don't know how many times I've seen a bot lane lose because the didn't keep track of Lulu's poly, Ali's combo, Jana tornado, and Morg's snare.
Why do you think Thresh is OP/ not balanced?
Feel free to disregard everything if you please.

Why frankly this is such a sad argument I don't want to get into it,the short version is:
Lulu - really good poke, shields, and polymorph over all really great peel.
With targons thresh will run her out of mana before she runs him out of hp,yeah, poke supports are considered bad for a reason, one hook on her or her carry and he will probably still get a kill, she also has very limited options if you decide to roam(and yeah, that's a thing),on top of you just bringing more utility with your bloated kit once laning is done.
Alistar - E and Q to engage or disengage, if he is decent you won't be able to keep near the carry
Easy poke for ages,as he can't retaliate,a hook on his carry might not mean death, but two hooks will, and best part? he can't really punish you for missing them.
Jana - so much peel Thresh can't even Flay the adc you might be able to AA it though
a hook on her or her adc will still hurt or result in a kill, she doesn't have very good tools to punish you and after her latest nerfs it's much harder for her to deal with your roam/compete in general.
Morg - 50 year snare with a large hit box, spell shield, and a really good ulti.
Your hook moves fast and doesn't telegraph its direction, confuse her as to who the target is going to be,a landed hook should mean a kill, and it's still very hard for her to punish you even if you keep missing them.
Against all of these you have to be aware of their cool downs. I don't know how many times I've seen a bot lane lose because the didn't keep track of Lulu's poly, Ali's combo, Jana tornado, and Morg's snare.
Why do you think Thresh is OP/ not balanced?
Probably has something to do with him being in every game competitive or otherwise, since his fucking release, what kind of deranged lunatic will think this bloated garbage is balanced at this point? There's been overwhelming evidence that they guy is still completely above his competition, and every time somebody dares challenge him that guy gets nerfed.
Feel free to disregard everything if you please.
Of course I will, thresh mains seems to have all gone insane with their love for free elo.

Pretty much this. Poke supports just don't feel like they work at all in this meta. It's all about the All in Hard engagers, peelers, tanks, and sustainers. Thresh is three of those.

One q basically can decide the lane. Once he Q's you he can flay to delay you even further. His kit is just better so that's why he's used over everyone else. Too bad he's squishy early..... oh wait souls and his generally tanky build means later in the game he's an off tank :/ QQ. I'm just salty about thresh oh well. Waiting for his nerfs////////

I don't blame you for being salty about a champ. I'm really salty when it comes to Riven and Fiora. Not sure how it is in your elo, but in bronze he is freelo. Thresh is great at catching people out because a lot of people don't know how to position (once again in my elo). When I have to play against a Thresh, I treat it like a Blitz. He does have fairly high cds late game.
His cooldowns are: Q: 20 / 18 / 16 / 14 / 12 W: 22 / 20.5 / 19 / 17.5 / 16 E: 9 at all ranks R: 150 / 140 / 130
If the Thresh misses hooks he loses valuable cc, he shouldn't go in if everyone is grouped together. Even with off tank build he should be deleted really quickly. He should stand and peel for the carries if he misses. Use anything you can to block him from landing it on you, minions work wonders. If you can try to force the wave to him without over extending. Most Thresh players will not be able to do Madlife Flash hooks. Also, please note it has a wind - up time, Thresh will twirl the hook (like cowboys in old western movies) which will help you dodge it.
His E doesn't have a ton of range, most carries should be able to easily stay out of it. Watch out for the Flash E engage. Some take Talisman or Rightness Glory for the speed buff to do a similar engage.
His lantern is a great tool with a small shield and helps with escapes/ engage. Not much you can really do.
His R his really great. Best thing to do is have the tank hit the first wall if possible.
Early game he fairly squishy, do to getting armor bases on souls not levels. I think, not sure, that his aa range is less than most adcs. I've been rekted by Annies, Karmas, and Tahm's, including the champs listed above. It also helps a ton if the adc has a dash/ blink/ spellshield (don't how many times a Sivir or Morg spellshielded my hooks) skill.
It's also important to note that the adc's skill has a lot with how bot lane goes. Also, champ synergy, player synergy, and counters/ match ups.
The main thing is engage when his hook on cd, he usually only has flay and has to throw the lantern for the shield. If he engages on you hopefully the support can see him in some way so you two can focus the adc.
The biggest mistake I see is people misjudge Flays range and get hit buy it often.
I've given you my bronze knowledge, in hopes of you can find a way to deal with Thresh a little better. I'm sure that people that have more game knowledge than me have videos or guides on how to deal with him.
Good luck on the Rift.

Actually, I think only Pro players have valid opinions in ranked.
The only ones I would say are naturally great against Thresh are Alistar and Morg. However Morgana only counters Thresh because of her Black Shield, which has a longer cooldown than Thresh's hook plus you can't shield two people at once from a 99% slow.
thresh isnt op hes just annoying

Yeah I'm sure that's why he is in every fucking game.
At least give the team he's not on a fair chance by letting them pick him too.
