So why does windwall block an unlimited amount of abilities, but poppy's w only works once per champ?

I remember riot saying something the sort of "we don't want the counterplay to an ability which blocks projectiles to just throw projectiles at it until it breaks",yet for poppy's w(which lasts 2.5 seconds, unlike yasuo's windwall which lasts 4) they placed an exception on purpose, which allows people to deal with an ability which stops dashes...by throwing more dashes at it? How does that make any sense?

*Note:this IS NOT about buffing poppy, because not only do I not believe she needs buffs, this is relevant to only a handful of champions:Ahri Akali KalistaLeblanc LeeSin Rengar Yasuo Bard Renekton and can situationally(but for the most part, not in a very meaningful way) affect the following:GnarVayne Khazix TristanaNidalee ,and does so in a very specific scenario, making it mean very little for her power level overall.

*Another note, not sure how Riven is affected by poppy's w,I'm also not sure how Diana ult works if a dash is blocked(if it goes on cooldown, then she's unaffected by this),they may be in the first group,Thresh also might be in the first group, depending on who he is paired with.

It may be worth noting that A WHOLE FUCKING LOT of these champions are deeply "loved" by the community,so maybe this is once again them playing favorites? and they are willing to forsake their balancing philosophies once again in their favor?

You can also add in there that Braum only destroys the first ability, then he's forced to take damage from further abilities, plus it limits his movements.

Sure he's a tank and gets a damage reduction, but nonetheless. I suppose you could also argue cooldown, but being the only directly comparable ability there's some massive differences to consider.

That's actually a pretty good argument and a terrible double standard on Riot's part. Also notice that your logic also applies to Morgana's Black Shield (The counter to an ability that protects from abilities is to throw more abilities at it).

The answer to your question though, is; Because Yasuo is one of Riot's protected (Read: Overpowered) children Yasuo LeeSin Zed Thresh Riven

Because Poppy is tanky and fast, whereas Yasuo is made of paper mache and has no escape.

I would guess to avoid the incredible hard counter. If it blocked multiple dashes then Poppy could just sit by, for example, Kalista and stop her from contributing any damage for 2.5 seconds, which is an incredibly long time in a fight. She couldn't even escape Poppy (who has a dash and movement speed boost) with Flash.

However, there is individual counterplay to Yasuo's windwall. You can move behind it, you can move to one side of it, or you can disengage and wait it out. Many champions cannot disengage from Poppy.

EDIT: You also have visual problems with wind wall blocking one projectile per champion (How would you show it clearly. Clarity). And uselessness problems with it blocking only one overall.

Because blocking a mobility skill is much more devastating than blocking a projectile. Also, Poppy W does damage, and windwall doesnt.
