Dear RiotRepertoir, Tyler1 says"Mid mages are the most broken role in the game, ADCs have no impact"
Last night during a 12 hour (correct me if im wrong on the time) tyler1 went on a massive 30 minute long rant screaming (literally) about how mid lane mages are the most broken and easy role in the game and how ADC is the worst role in the game and feels complete garbage to play as (ill link vod at the end).
Some of the things he said, I have quoted in very accurate paraphrasing (I will use caps because he was quite literally screaming the whole time):
-"ONE PATCH WHERE MID LANERS DONT HAVE THE SPOTLIGHT, RIOT REWORKS THEIR ITEMS TO BE OVERPOWERED, MID HAS ALWAYS BEEN RIOTS FAVORITE CHILD" -"IF MID CAN HAVE 40% CDR FOR FREE, THEN THEY SHOULD HAVE THEIR ABILITY TO AUTO ATTACK REMOVED" -tyler1 while raging also died to the top laner a few times so he went on to say "SOLO LANERS DECIDE THE COMPLETE FLOW OF THE GAME , BOT LANE DOESNT MATTER" -"HASHINSHIN SAID ADC IS THE MOST BROKEN ROLE AND TOP IS BAD? IF I EVER SEE HIM ILL FUCKIN PUNCH HIM" (no joke I believe he threatened to punch dom for saying something similar as well) -went on to mouse over seraphs and talk about how overloaded broken the item is -"ALL THIS SYNDRA HAS TO DO IS PRESS R ON ME, WOW SO MUCH SKILL , SO MUCH COUNTERPLAY, LOOK SHES OUTPLAYING EVERYONE, EVERY MAGE IS LIKE THIS" -"ALL A MID LANER HAS TO DO TO COUNTER ADC IS BUILD TABIS, THE MOST BROKEN ITEM IN THE GAME, WHY CANT ADCS DO THAT? MAKE MERC TREADS REDUCE ALL MAGIC DAMAGE TAKEN BY 15% THEN WE WILL BE BALANCED"

He starts off light with some frustrated thoughts about tabis but as the game goes on, he starts screaming. You can also watch the game before where he is getting dove by a mid lane vlad as draven or the game after where he picks orianna mid to "prove mid is broken" but ends up going 1-3 in lane with 40 cs at 10 mins and having 0 impact on the game with all his missed ultis but its all ok cause his bot lane caitlyn stomped so they won anyway. The varus game where the "syndra was showing how cancer mid lane is" also had a 12-1 xayah on the enemy team ironically.
So now the reason why I titled this toward RiotRepertoir. My concern here is among the 25 thousand people watching tyler1 and immediately jumping on his train, the entire chat is full of comments like "ADC IS SO SHIT TO PLAY RIGHT NOW" "tyler1 is right ADC in 2018 LUL" "ADC has always been the worst role , we just have to get used to it" "LUL just swap to mid tyler, its free elo" "Why even play ADC , we are in a mid meta right now". Its funny the boards is often referred to as a "circlejerk" by adc mains but what goes on in tyler1's stream , sneaky's stream , imaqtpie's stream is the real circlejerk of ADC mains. Pure definition of circlejerk. ADC players also hold the full monopoly of twitch.tv with the biggest twitch streams being tyler1, sneaky, and imaqtpie. Who else even streams now? When was the last bjergsen stream? Faker streams like once a week? Top lane streams get extremely low views. Point being, circlejerk from ADC mains creates avalanches, hurricanes, meteor storms, the entire earth shakes when they circle jerk; and our fix for the 2018 year is just about to begin.
This is truly scary to the point where it might just be best to quit the game because I do believe history repeats itself and it has for the last 2 years atleast. When Sneaky's stream started the whole "ADC IN 2017 LUL" and he was crying ADC in 2017 every time he died on stream, did we pass it off as just another circlejerk? NO. You folks at Riot acted on it quickly (despite still being the strongest and most mandatory role), buffed their champions, their entire itemization costs, and subsequently gave us the Ardent censor meta for 6 months straight (6 months!) which lead to Faker literally shedding tears when he lost worlds to ardent bot lanes, the feeling of "I cant do anything" is awful when everybody has high expectations of you.
So my question to you Mr. Repertoir is: You have promised us over and over that bot lane is going to get serious work in the midseason update, that botlane is going to be opened to other roles, that ADC will be made no longer mandatory, that their power curves are going to be looked at compared to other roles, that you are investigating multiplicative damage builders and multiplicative defense builders. You have even alluded in to (in your posts on the boards) that you acknowledge the bot lanes extreme power/monopoly and you even gave us sassy comments that we are pestering you on the boards even though you say its being looked at.
But the golden question of this thread, HOW can you assure us that you will not be pandered by the absolute monstrous levels of QQ / whining from ADC players when you change the power pattern of their role? How can you assure us that you will even follow through on these promises when the a notable fraction of the ADC playerbase still believes their role is the weakest in the game? If you want my opinion, I am not so sure your promises will come through although I hope they will. You have dug a huge hole for yourselves at Riot by allowing their power level to rise to the point it has for so long which has conditioned the ADC playerbase to feel as though this much power is the "norm" or in other words you have spoiled them. So when you take it away, backlash will be huge. Nobody remembers what it felt like to play ADC in 2012-2015. You know when phantom dancer had the old pink swords icon, costed near 3k, but didnt provide the reduced damage taken passive and was the only available zeal item in their kits.
