Meta in the Bot Lane

So as somebody who is still kinda new to the game, treading onto my 5th month playing the game, I've begun to wonder about the state of the meta, specifically for the adc role, and on match-ups (Which bot lane pair works together well, which do not, and what champions should I pick against certain others) as I've started to adopt a more competitive feeling for the game. Now I'm also confused about the subdivisions of the Boards, so does a question like this belong in the eSports section, as it pertains to the meta seen in eSports, or does it belong in the Gameplay section, as the question revolves around gameplay?

This should help: champion.gg

This website will show you the highest win rates by role. Clicking on a champion (and in some cases selecting a role for them) will allow you to see how they do in any match-ups if you scroll down to the bottom.

For ADC and Support specifically, you'll ALSO see how they do with/against members of the opposite role too. So you can see that Corki does terribly against Graves or Kog'maw, but owns Quinn or Sivir.

You can also see that Trundle and Nami are two strong supports against Corki, while Corki does quite well against a Taric/Shen/Annie.

Finally, you can see that Corki does well paired with Leona/Blitz/Naut/Braum (so the theme seems to be tanky supports) while he does poorly paired with Fiddlesticks/Annie/Lulu/Zyra (makes sense since the lane would be magic damage heavy).

So for this patch, I'd say Kalista, Kog'Maw, Corki, Lucian, Caitlyn are the best adc picks, maybe Graves?

So with synergies, Kalista and Alistar are super strong with engage/disengage. Kog'Maw and Braum is good because Kog'Maw attacks very quickly and applies Braum's passive to stomp the lane. Braum is strong with anyone, and not many people do well too against him in lane except maybe Morgana. Lucian and Braum synergize well due to Lucian's passive working with Braum's.

With counters, Caitlyn easily outranges Lucian and Graves, making her much stronger. Kalista works well against Lucian as she can use her passive to hop out of his Q or ult. Kalista is very strong against a lot of the current adc picks unless the enemy has a consistent and easy to land hard cc I hope this helps, happy hunting! The linked site should give you a pretty good idea of the match-ups meta wise.

Do keep in mind though that, particularly at lower levels of play, raw skill with the champion(s) is a much bigger factor than meta considerations. I've seen vaynes poop on caitlyns despite her being considered a vayne counter (due to the range disparity), and I think there's even some reversals in the meta match-ups for certain champions as you cross certain skill threshholds (i.e. Champion X beats champion Y in bronze->gold, but champion Y beats champion X in plat ->challenger).
