Riot Just swallow your pride, revert the buffs you did instead of nerfing some other aspect of him. This is how you ruin champs.. Just swallow your pride and slowly revert the buffs one by one or all at once, just don't mess him up.

But seriously, while it did push him over the top, it helped a ton in reliability and if he needs nerfs, shouldn't start there. Maybe reduce AP gain from kills, but removing AP gain from assists is just re-adding the issue of having to try and killsteal your team.

i don't read babble. i don't even like arguing with simple minded people who jusify stupoid mechanics like being able to scal through assists as if it isn't toxic or unhealthy in balance. base stats and innate character scaling already exist, having that topped with scaling through kills/assits on a AP MAGE which alreeady gets redic item build is dumb, it's at first people see it and think aye man, cool sounds alright then you remember that it's viegar and anything viegar cna get he will roll with hard to no ends. if you didn't get at first that it's a stupid idea, let me say it a few more times. it's stupid. it will always be stupid. and people who support the idea are stupid. the most illogical fucking person in this thread is you. we all know that shit is stupid.

Which of his spells is actually that problematic, once he's fed? If you nerf his passive AP, you nerf his entire kit. But I don't believe his entire kit is the problem.
As far as I can tell, it wasn't the AP gain buff on his Q that pushed him over the edge. It was the QoL to his W that improved it's reliability. It wasn't until after that buff that Veigar started seeing play. Meaning the over all damage he was doing with his W increased significantly.
But personally, I would rather keep the reliability change to his W, and decrease the power it gives. It's a lot more fun to play a champion who can actually land his spells.
alasarcher1 votesOnly buff Veigar received was getting AP from assists. Thats it. Only reason he rose in popularity is because Froggen started playing him on streams. But Veigar is basically same as he was after DFG removal and nerfs he received back then. Remember his E stun was instant and Q was targeted ability.
Marthian2 votesHis W delay was shortened, E is delayed but now stops dashes, and Q is WAY better at farming AP now.
Also the Rabadon Cap buff helped him a bit.
