Just keep the wave between you and the bushes. Let him push if he tries to (as it will move farther from the bushes towards your tower).
One other thing I like to do in matchups I struggle in top lane:
I have TP. Whether they have TP or Ignite I like to trade pretty heavily early and base early and use TP. If they don't have TP I just gained a decent advantage (either they stay in lane and now I have a small item advantage and some decent health advantage since I traded heavily before basing; or they base as well and I just gained a large xp lead while they missed minions running back to lane).
If they have TP it doesn't do much except allow you to avoid staying in lane without defensive items. It works particularly well if you start corrupting potion as that refills and you can come back to lane with a cloth armor or more.
Anyways, just a trick that may work for you. Just be REALLY certain not to die if you're trading heavily as that would make it a lot worse. If that means only getting him to ~60% before basing so be it.
This idea may not work at all elos or even in general, but it seems to work better for me than staying in lane too long in a matchup I don't like. I tend to be able to avoid giving first blood this way.
