Is there like, a trick to csing?

I've been playing a bit of adc lately, branching out from support, and holy hell I cannot cs to safe my life. I thought I would be reasonably okay, since I'm bronze anyway. I am not okay. I end up with like, half the cs the other adc has, it's ridiculous. I think I need help.

many newer or bad player just attack the minions all the time. Only attack the minions when their health is low enough for you to get the last hit on them. And don't just stay still. Walk around your lane, so you're harder to hit by the enemies and don't just attack minions randomly

This... is actually what I was doing. Mostly because I was getting impatient. So, only last hit, okay. Thanks!

1.) Start by playing an ADC who can farm Safely. Ashe Caitlyn are both great examples to start with. Remember that bot is a harass-heavy lane, and one of the primary ways to STOP an ADC from getting fed is to harass them to the point of where they are too scared to CS. Find a way to CS safely.

2.) Do everything in your power to get as many of the minions as possible. Use abilities, don't shy away from it.

3.) Take pure damage runes, and buy dorans to start, your initial damage is really, really important for early game CS. Doubly so if you think you are having trouble.

4.) Practice makes perfect, the more you do it, the easier it will come, and the less you will have to think about it. Once you get to that level, you can start harassing enemy champions while simultaneously maintaining your CS.

This is actually really helpful, thanks!

5.) It might be worth your time to tell your Support partner that you are focusing on CS, so that they don't try to create additional drama for you by initiating like a crazy wombat. I do this often, (Support main here!) and when the ADC isn't there I get pissed, but really - he probably wants to play the late game, as most ADCs do.

  1. Practice
  2. Practice
  3. Practice
  4. Ranged/melee minions are different
  5. Click minions to see their HP and check how much damage you do with each auto to each type of minion then time your auto with the minion falling to low health
  6. Farming under tower is very easy with no harass
  7. Practice. Practice. Practice.

Are you letting your minions bring the enemy minions down low so they die in one hit?

Left click on them so you know exactly how much health they have. Then you can last hit perfectly

I like to take auto attack off, it doesn't just auto the minions automatically
