If ranked is about showing your very BEST against your opponents...

isn't it counter-intuitive, and very toxic to the game and community to allow brand new and reworked champions into ranked?

how do you show your BEST with a champion you don't know yet? you dont know their skills you dont know their special intertactions and neat plays you can do yet.

Also it adds such a toxic air to ranked. Isn't it fun to get somebody troll or rage quit because you banned the new champion because you know nobody can really effectively play her yet? and isnt it also fun to have to waste a ban on a champion NOT because of balance issues, but because you don't want to see somebody on your team feed with a champion they don't know? It's madness.

"what about the PBE guys, i played her for some time there" as a guy who has a PBE myself I honestly dont see a problem with this restriction. I mean, would it be cool to implement mastery from your PBE to your main to unlock that champion early? yes, but then nobody else would be able to play them. that's very one-sided and anti-fun.

Plz block new champions in ranked for a patch... or at least 2 weeks

(recently reworked)Because you don't need any skill to play them moderately well, they are painfully basic. The new ones I have no idea about tho.

but consider this. They want to evaluate how the champ does and if it needs tweaks. they arent going to get a fair view of that in normals.

how wouldn't they? You would get the exact same responses from the same people because one way or another people will WANT to play and critique the new champion.

the responses dont matter. they jsut want facts. statistical performance etc. people goofing off dont mean much.

Its like blitz in chess vs tournament play. Sure i can win lots of blitz games with some offbeat gambit I play in a petroff...but i would never play it in a seriosu game. Its ultimately not sound, jsut hard to figure out quickly.

Again, Bullshit. you can get all of the above just by letting the champ in norms. oif the champion is too weak, people willy say something and that champ's games will say something

this isnt like chess.

Secondly you arent taking ranked seriously if you're playing a brand new champion in ranked in the first place. Ranked isnt the only place their solid numbers come from. Why allow a potentially REALLY buggy champ to affect ANY ranked game immediately upon release? all it does is fuck with teamplay and makes games more toxic.

This has been touched many times, but it seems freelo's keep shutting it down.... Good luck though +1

Instead of a 2 week grace period, I would rather have it so that in order to rank with a champion you MUST have at least champion mastery two with that champion.

Eh that could create problems. What if I'm first pick and my teammate really wants me to grab Darius (to trade) before the enemy can grab him? I don't have any mastery with him.

"hi guys i'm gonna play kindred"

"you fucking noob she just came out if you pick her i'm feeding"

"but i played 120 games with her on PBE..."

"feeding, kindred a fucking noob"

or we could just avoid the problem altogether. by banning them in ranked for the first 2 weeks - patch

I was already playing Ekko for a while on PBE before he came out. that didnt mean i hated seeing him on my team...and if i ever played him i convinced the team first. If they disagreed then i just Played Nid instead.

There are already too few bans for how many juggernauts are running around. I hate having to use one on Kindred.
