Wards that don't show enemy champs are just as useful as wards that show enemies.
If I ward enemy top side jungle and don't see any champs, I don't get vision score points, even though I am obtaining valuable information (enemy jungle bot side)
ChaddyFantome4 votesThis. Even if i place a ward in baron pit and not a single soul passes it, this is valuable as it means no one has gone near baron. This is valuable info even if i didnt catch a champion.

It's probably to prevent people padding their Vision scores by spamming pointless wards in their base, thus making them look better. They could fix this in many other ways, but their current solution seemed to be the simplest fix.

I agree that there has to be some safeguard preventing ward padders, but to prevent people getting S scores because their wards "weren't good enough" is annoying.
I don't care much about the grading, but I am trying to improve my warding habits, and when I have a low score despite always warding, its confusing or disheartening.

I guess. Come to think of it, I've never noticed how much warding would affect my grade and I always ward.

and deep ward it to keep tabs on them.
dunno why most laners don't consider it a job to help the jungler keep jungles warded especially if the enemy is a nunu or some other counterjungler.
