Is My MMR Bugged Or Something?
The past couple weeks, I've gotten hot in ranked. For example, I've won 70% of my last 20, had multiple 5+ win streaks, and completely dominated with my main, Garen (325-92-342 [7.25], 22-8 [73.33%]). Yet, throughout all of this, my MMR (according to op.gg) has almost permanently been 570. Occasionally it'll dip slightly below or slightly above (579 now), but no amount of losing or winning seems to really affect it. I thought maybe it was just op.gg getting it messed up, but I'm on a 5 win streak currently and have gained a mere 9 LP for every win, which is generally a sign that it thinks you're best off where you are. Yet I lost three straight at 0 LP in B4 at one point and it didn't demote me, which I found even stranger. Usually it's two and you're out.
My MMR and LP losses/gains used to fluctuate normally on op.gg, yet as of late I honestly don't know what the hell's going on. I'm working my butt off to move up, warding more than the supports in basically every match I'm in, not feeding, focusing objectives, helping out my teammates whenever I can, etc., but none of this seems to be translating into the kind of upward movement I want, despite me starting to rack up the wins in chunks while not losing much. I've Googled this and people say things along the lines of "keep winning and everything'll work itself out," but that's what I've been doing. When 5 or 6 win streaks aren't enough to nudge my MMR by more than 9, or to get me to promos, I find it ridiculous and infuriating. 5 wins in a row should've had me at or near promos for B3, which would be great because I've won all 3 promo series I've been in, but here I sit at just 54 LP. So, my question is... what the hell is going on?
