The Climb, The Struggle

Before you downvote, please consider that I am trying to make an honest suggestion, and not flaming.

I know I'm not the only one who has experienced this problem, and I know it is a something that irritates everyone who plays this game. I'm talking about inexperienced players dragging an entire team down, and causing losses for their matchmade team. They do exist, there are a bunch of them, and they spread across every elo.

My suggestion is simple, add a pre-elo limbo system.

What is this, how does it work?

I would think it would be similar to a series only it focuses on individual performance, not team based. Users would have to maintain an A- or higher rating through 5 games. Never being demoted while there.

Something like this would be a benefit to every legitimate player, while at the least temporarily isolating trolls from the try's.

-Gives Underskilled Players the opportunity to get better by playing sustained games against other good players. -Protects Higher elo players from Trolls by not fully dropping them into a lower elo. -Prevents carried players, or boosted players from entering higher elo gameplay. -Discourages Deranking, -Prevents Underskilled players from advancing via lucky win streaks

I really do hope something like this is implemented, because I'm tired of not progressing, and not getting more challenging games as a result of my peers performance. I need to know if I truly belong in a higher elo.

Most low elo (bronze to low-mid Silver) players can't maintain an A rating. You can get a B or even C and still perform well in--game, such as tanking damage, helping with objectives, sacrificing for carries, just not dying so you can get carried, etc.

However LP should be connected with the Mastery Rating, if you are consistently getting A's and S's you are clearly doing good. You should progress faster if you are frequently getting high Mastery Ratings, if you start getting lower scores then your climb would slow down because you are near or at your Rank skill level.

A lot of people think this would lead to abuse, people trying to pad their KDA or just AFK Farm and placing a ton of wards. Honestly if you are getting an S rating, regardless of whether you are abusing or not, you are probably helping the team still. So i don't see this as too much of an issue, it would also help lower skilled people improve.

Just play more games. If you're better than where you are you will eventually climb regardless of occasional hiccups.
