Is it still to early to make an assessment?

Do you think she's to strong?

To weak?

Any plans to tweek her kit?

just curious.

Nothing too surprising so far, though it's still really early days. We're still seeing a lot of people playing the rework for the first time or two, so lot of initial mistakes being made and experimentation going on. No current plans for immediate changes, though we'll reassess on Monday as well.

but please can you guarantee that you will watch her and see if you can change something?? i'm not talking only about balance (damage, cooldown) but mostly about her slow AA and Q,and the passive mechianics.

Do you play Poppy yourself? If so, what is your favorite build/battle plan going in to a game (of course, no plan survives first contact)?

And are you guys at Riot content with the other changes of the patch? For example, Thunderlord's has become the premier keystone on, like, everyone. Is that because it is legitimately too strong, or is it just an issue of perception (Thunderlord's effect is the most noticeable and flashy, after all)? Or is Thunderlord's ok on its own, but the combination of Thunderlords + Precision is too useful?

Would it be possible to either allow Poppy's ult to not make enemies untargetable? Or at the very least give them some very obvious gold particles to show that they can't be hit and make it not look like they are being knocked up?

Poppy's ult has readibility issues and doesn't act as people expect or looks like. Her ult reads as a knock-up. Especially when double-tapped. I can't tell you how many times I've double-tapped it in a teamfight and my team has gone all in and treated it as a knock-up only to waste their cooldowns on a target that can't be hit.

So her E being treated as an auto and preventing the cast of E until the passive is thrown is an intended feature? ehh if thats the case im not really into this new design balance you guys are going for.

Also i mean no offense to you rioters but old poppy was a scrappy all in duelist, new poppy is a slightly more mobile siege minion that provides slightly more gold.

And maybe be eligible for some new skins?

Honestly, she feels like she's in a really good spot to me (I'm no Meddler, but just my two cents). She can't just delete people and 5v1 like she used to, but she can fight people if she outplays them and capitalizes on mistakes. She has a lot of utility, so she can be played defensively or as a supp too. She has a pretty high skillcap now, so you can't just play one game and win with her, but even when you do have a few games you still have to work for your kills.

So, I think she's in a good spot. Her Q could be a liiiitle bit bigger, and her passive not so obnoxious to work with, but otherwise I think she's in a good spot.

... Riot actually released a balanced champion (Illaoi was pretty balanced too, so was Kin). Panic!

Though somehow people don't understand one word that even Illaoi says: "Move!"

Seriously she TELLS you her basic mechanic counter.

Niyumi7 votes

But, moving requires you to click your mouse button! THAT'S SO HARD TO DO! Like, seriously! You gotta be a Korean or something to do that! Obviously she's broken as hell, and needs to be gutted.

Void Nargacuga2 votes

Oh that was so funny to read! XD Thanks for the laughs! Apparently even the marksmen mains have a hard time figuring that one out! I mean all the do is click a mouse button! =P

The people that play this game really just make me sad. If that's the average person... I have so little hope for humanity it's not even funny.

Meanwhile, modern society teaches you to be an entitled, spoiled brat who "deserves" everything, even if they don't work for it. So, obviously, any champ that makes them lift a finger is just broken.

Void Nargacuga1 votes

How much worse could humanity get? Sadly not much I think. =/

I'd rather earn something then be a spoiled person who feels like I deserve to get everything. I am willing to work to get money to get my PC upgrades myself. Seriously I need to upgrade my PC. [slayer-jinx-unamused]

In League terms: I'm willing to play champions I don't own so I can better understand them and find ways to fight them. Some I can maybe(?) understand why people still consider them to be: OP, Easy mode, no skill needed champions. Though some like Yasuo I will laugh at them saying he is a no skill champion. I learned fast that he requires good (borderline great) decision making even in lane. I will say I even suck at playing him but I think I am not the worst though. If someone proved to me that I am the worst I would laugh, and say "Guess I got something I got to improve at. Thanks for showing me!"

Better question: Does she have the chance to make it back on Free Rotation now?

Though yours are still good too!

Poppy should be back in the free rotation now yes.

Not sure if this is the appropriate place to ask this question, but is it still intentional that her 'Recommended' starting item is Corrupting Potion, or is that a carryover from before her rework? I feel like she'd have a much better early game nowadays, and wouldn't really need that much sustain, and could go for one of the Doran's items or something.

Void Nargacuga1 votes

That is really cool! I hope everyone that hasn't gotten a chance to play her now gets to enjoy the chance to check her out!

Goilo1 votes

I love being Thor! By the power of Odin I banish you! But no for real she is a perfect balance, good job riot! I like playing Poppy again and don't call her poopy anymore

MunchCrunchLunch1 votes

she needs to do more damage. she needs an AA steroid passive. something like if poppy continuesly attacks the same enemy she does bonus damage. i dont want poppy to be an another tank fighter.
