Division-Based Queue Restriction (VS League-Based)?

Something like this has probably been proposed many times before, but the number of Divisions between a Bronze 5 and Silver 1 is 8, while the number of Divisions between Bronze 1 and Gold 5 is 5. From what I've seen, the skill gap between Silver 1 and Gold 5 isn't very big, but the gap between Bronze 5 and Bronze 1 is huge. I'd like to see a Division restriction rather than League restriction to help people on the high end of lower tiers and low end of higher tiers feel like their Division actually matters. Something like:

Bronze: +5/-6 Division gap (Bronze 5 can queue with up to Silver 4, Bronze 1 with Bronze 5 through Gold 5) Silver: +4/-5 Division gap (S5's range is B5 through G5, S1's range is B2 through G1) Gold: +3/-4 Division gap (G5's range is S4-G1, G1's range is S1-P2) Platinum: +3/-4 Division gap (same as Gold, but one League up) Diamond: +2/-3 Division gap (D5 with P5-D2, D1 with D4+ (limited by D5's range)) Master/Challenger: +1/-2 (Master with D3+, Challenger with D2+)

While the numbers could be tweaked to find a good range that feels fair for each level, I think this would make the Diamond/Master/Challenger queue restriction less jarring as it would just be a smooth progression as skill increases. I think it could also help the low level a lot, since what I've seen from spectating my Bronze friends seems to indicate that low Bronze has a very different level of play than high Bronze.

I'm interested in hearing what other people think of the change in general (not just my specific numbers, though please do share adjustments if you think you have a better idea of what would be fair).
