Mysticman891 votesIt's an unfortunate side effect of a fresh queue which had some MMR teething issues upon release, so lots of high rank in solo queue players are going to have the same flex MMR as slightly less high rank in solo queue players.
I don't think riot really needs to do anything, it's more just wait a month or two for people to get their flex MMRs to a suitable level. (Although I expect there will be premade groups of plats who'll be able to be on a fair footing [or better] against mostly solo diamond+ players, as that's sortof flex's thing now.)
