Why exactly do people think Darius needed the CD reset on ult back when he was meta during juggernauts, I mean, surely he was good before that as he was still strong before the ult cd reset.

I don't think you understand. That cooldown reset was a thing before the juggernaut rework, and back then it reset 100% EVERYTIME you killed someone with it, regardless of what rank his ult was.

Darius has always been kinda meta. A beefy champ to kill people who facecheck and generally disruptive during teamfights + snowballs hard. I can't remember a time that he wasn't in meta to an extent.

His ult cd was sorta his defining thing. It was a pentakill dream, and they actually nerfed it a fair amount in the juggernaut update.
