Mage class further sent into the trash bin

With the assassin update (more like mass buff) to champs like talon or zed, who are used to instagut squishy mages and then disappear without being harmed, what is the future for mages that rely on skillshots like anivia, brand or veigar? this is becoming pathetic, first you take off spellvamp, which leaves the mage class hopeless with the amout of self healing from auto attacks from all ad classes.

Now its not even a matter of missing skillshot, the mage is going to hell !

PS> Being removed... Wait i though riot wanted to preserve some defensive itemization for squishy mages? what happened? smh

Mage main here (more specifically, I main the highly skillshot reliant Xerath).

They'll be fine, the fancy new assassin item (Edge of Night I think its called?) is useless in combat, because any damage stops the 1.5 second channel for the spell shield and puts it on the full 30 second cooldown (so they have to use it before they run in, and hope a stray spell doesn't hit them before something vital gets thrown at them)

Also, does OP even know what he's talking about? The mastery, STRENGTH of the ages, is being removed; Rod of Ages is still being kept in. All of that doesn't even account for the fact that most of the assassins (Talon is the most notable one anyway) seem to have longer burst patterns then currently, or have higher damage but FAR more predictable movements (Katarina)

Two things.

One it's lady. Two open your eyes.

In case you weren't paying attention, assassins were given items to kill their targets on a larger delay, therefore allowing more time to react.

You have new tank items now so your tanks can protect you and give you better peel.

tldr; teamwork makes the dream work. Now you can't just run around laughing as you nuke people from a mile away.

So you didnt read my post carefully did you? I said Skillshot relying mages not any mage like syndra or annie taht can combo you and nuke all over the place... anivia, brand, veigar, xerath they are going to be further hurt in this process, as if it isnt difficult already to manage them against the hyped up speed items everymore increasing in Riot`s mechanics they are going to further lose.

Now the question we should ask is: is it fair for them,?

Really?

I play Brand, and I can tell you right now that he's going to be fine.

If anything it will be more fair for my enemy because usually I pop E>Q then proceed to murder their sorry butts.

Their spell shield gives them ONE chance to get close enough to the fed mage to do their flipping job.

And as for skillshot missing? Their MS buff on items is only out of combat.

Also item 3116 is still a thing.

too much assassin wannabees here, ever wonder where are those zed and kat players went? they werent satisfied that they had to hard little to gut any mage mid, now its being handed to them more quickly then before, yet with another item nerf for us mages. gg riot good job

Mages are fine, now we can't 1v1 someone who is meant to counter us which isn't a problem, just waveclear and wait for the teamfighting to start.

item 3157 item 3027 item 3001 item 3010 item 3116 summoner 3 should help us survive a bit, anyway they shouldn't be too hard to fight.

Almost nobody built spell vamp.
The great AP item nerfening already happened and mages are still fine.
Assassin players all have really small testicles so even if you lose you still win.
