Before we nerf Morde, let's think of other champs that beat him in lane.

I'm not saying Morde doesn't need tweaks to his kit, as he is currently at a 60+% winrate overall, but instead of nerfing him the second he was released, and the first champion accepted in bot lane who isn't an ADC, let's think of ways to counter him besides straight nerfing him.

He seems built to counter ADCs hard in lane, maybe this was intentional to force people to pick another class of champion in bot lane and mix up the meta. Maybe the answer is picking something other than ADC/Support in bot, akin to the oldschool Alistar/Blitz lane, or Sion/Taric.

CC Burst mages did well against him in lane when he was mid, by zoning him out of range so he couldn't build up his shield. Heavy bruisers may be able to do well by tanking his damage and being able to return it while abusing the fact he has no escapes.

Let's think of ways to beat morde in lane besides nerfing or banning him.

I like the recent PBE changes, they should at least push him in a positive direction.

yeah, don't nerf the champion who wins bot lane not because he is fair and fun to lane against but because he has everything in his kit to be able to keep ahead of both his opponents in the bot lane. Free exp? check! getting a single dragon after lvl 6 means opponents zoned forever while dragon either tanks the turret or hit the enemy duo for chunks of their HP

His win rate is no where close to 60% overall, champion.gg and a lot of other sites are dropping many of the games he's doing poorly as Riots API is misclassifying him, as several rioter's confirmed on my reddit post here.

If you check lolking, which seems to be working fine with him, he varries between a 47% to 54% win rate, with a 51% win rate overall.
