Is this really what is being called balanced?

his w is way too strong in my opinion, when I played him I was able to out trade a lot of matchups early game because my w makes it so hard for them to fight back.

Pika Fox10 votes

His W needs to be strong. Its short range, hes immobile, its single target, and it starts weak. Not to mention soft CC is by far inferior to hard CC, and theres numerous ways to remove it.

his cd for it is extremely low, so taking that into account its too strong.

Pika Fox4 votes

Again, no. It needs to be because it can be removed really easily (cleanse, Mikaels, QSS, anything that removes slows, black shield stops its application etc). And again, its soft CC.

basically its a 6 second cd, so what ur saying isn't helpful because it'll only remove it once.

Nasus wont be alive long enough for the CD to come back up. Once is all you need in a teamfight.

WTF, it takes 3+ people to take down nasus if hes not 0/10

Teamfight.

Team.

Fight.

Teamfight.

Do i need to say it again?

Theres a reason Nasus rarely sees any competitive play. His early game is terrible, mid game is great, and endgame is horrific.

fudgecakeyhead7 votes

you must be memeing... right?

Pika Fox2 votes

No. Hes literally garbage in teamfights. Being able to 1 Q the ADC doesnt mean anything if you cant get to the ADC. And if your team is letting him walk up to the ADC... you deserve the free loss.

Flawless Fetus6 votes

Which is exactly why any nasus worth a damn doesn't team fight. Lol.

Pika Fox1 votes

Which is why he rarely sees real play. If you cant teamfight, your team has major difficulties with objective control and late game.

Milton Fletcher7 votes

too bad this isnt LCS and we all have to deal with this monstrosity.

as a top lane fighter main, knwoing that after 1 item this cancer can dive me with his jungler and take 0 fucking damage and the only thing that can stop this is "oh have ur jungler countergank" forgetting this is solo queue and some players are actually not good at the game is depressing.

i shouldnt have to depend on my jungler to survive my lane under tower.

thats not how skill presentation should work.

Pika Fox2 votes

If theyre diving, theyre taking free turret hits. You can kite around and flash, or use your utility to survive, and possibly get a kill out of it.

Milton Fletcher4 votes

flash wont do a single fucking thign when this cockroach has w'd me and has ninja tabis.

in a 1v2 situation, if nasus has full hp and ulti up , you are fucked.

please try kiting a nasus w and jungle wth red buff as a melee.

PLEASE clip that shit and show me.

Oakleaf Ranger1 votes

U dont start the game with a qss, mikaels, or cleanse. Especially if ur in top lane u can forget about taking cleanse. Nasus spikes too hard for just hitting 6 and getting sheen.

Stacking on Nasus has become arguably less important on Nasus and ensuring you get the farm for sheen and 6.

Pika Fox3 votes

Nasus doesnt do combat well early, nor does he start level 5 wither. And its generally not imortant for the top laner to worry about it that much, as nasus likely isnt going to one Q the top laner.

Nasus is supposed to spike hard with a couple items. All he has is mid game. Late game the enemy team is too tanky with too much damage and utility for him to do literally fuck all other than int if he wants to teamfight.

Milton Fletcher4 votes

doesnt do combat well?

holy fuck dude.

just holy fuck.

the things people will do to defend this unbalanced braindead champ.

Pika Fox1 votes

Nasus can either stack Q or fight. Not both. Even if he wants to fight, he has to do so at his lane opponent's choosing as he lacks any real form of engage himself. W isnt that good until 3-4, and generally nasus doesnt max it first.

Aidra Foxx1 votes

Pika is right, You just sound like one of those people who plays one champ all the time then gets squashed by an average nasus player. Don’t come to forums screaming nerf, as powerful as you make nasus seem he’s not. he can be destroyed with ease.

Z3Sleeper3 votes

Aight now make that same argument for Yorick's W so we can get it buffed to Nasus Wither levels of obnoxiousness.

Pika Fox2 votes

It kinda is in its own way. It either dies fast or controls someone obnoxiously depending on if they have AS or an auto reset or not. Same issue with zyra plants, heim turrets etc. Either theyre obnoxious because you cant kill them, or useless because they die instantly half of the time unintentionally. I dont think it will ever really feel great as a result.

DeusVult1 votes

W is a great spell, but it isnt his biggest problem. Nasus used to lose early to most bruisers and even some tanks, then people realized that they could put 3 points in E to get to six and lane that way. If Nasus starts Corrupting flask he can use it to clear until he backs and picks up a sheen.

All of his itemization got buffed. His E got buffed to %armor shred so he is effective vs everyone with high Q damage+sheen procs and armor shred. And once he hits 6 you wont kill him 1v1, he gets tons of free health and resists, and his Q gets CD reduction.

So his "weak" early game isnt weak and then he gets the items and stats to be a mid game monster before carries get the damage they need to take him down.

Nasus without being given a rework, to a sense has been reworked, for if you in the past year or so of patch notes, in every patch that involved nasus, They completely changed how his ultimate worked, and also adjusted how his Aoe works, These were all very major changes that resulted in his win rate soaring up, and personally I think they were good healthy changes, that took power away from his base form and pushed it into his ultimate, so he was a ult focused champion who relied on understanding on when he should go big. But however I really think the base form is still to strong to justify how strong the ult form is.

Bisaknosp2 votes

plus the ult cd is too low for how strong it is, yesterday i had a game against nasus (i was camille) and before level 11 he permanently had his utimate up i know he stacked cdr first but even with 40% he shouldnt have it up ALL the time like legit he used it, i b'd, tp'd right in AND HE HAD IT AGAIN WHAT THE F maybe he took ultimate hat idk but the cd on this ult is ridicolous

Starcraft243ver1 votes

Nasus Ult has a base CD of 120s at every ranks which is ok early, but is one of the highest cd in the game at 3rd rank.

With camille : COOLDOWN: 140 / 115 / 90

As soon as you are lvl 11, your ult has a lower cd than nasus' one.

Doodlzzz6 votes

Nasus is pretty easily punishable in lane, but in low elo, most players don't know how to do this effectively.

Dope Solo2 votes

I don't play top lane, but could you elaborate on that a little?

Doodlzzz5 votes

going in for minion stacks opens Nasus to get poked at, and a good player will maybe get 1 or 2 auto attacks off onto Nasus everytime he tries to stack.

You can abuse his weak laning if you know how to punish going for CS. It's also why he is bad in high elo and is almost never played in the LCS.

nasus players (even in low elo) are good enough early game to play around waves and stand in positions where you would have to put yourself in a bad spot relative to his minions to hit him.

Sun Wu Ryuumoku8 votes

i think you're in a bad position to say that.

Z3Sleeper4 votes

Hahaha even in Diamond 1 games there's still no "punishing" Nasus.

He doesn't have a "weak" early game. He has weak dueling early on. But he never has to duel, ever. You poke him? Well, now the minions are pushing towards him. Good job. He'll heal that damage back real soon.

And don't even think of denying him under tower. Wither is hands down the best gank securing tool of any solo laner.

This is all assuming he maxes Q too. If he maxes E instead then the table is flipped. You're the one being bullied now.

Starcraft243ver1 votes

Because there's no need to punish nasus. You just need to go win another lane and he'll be irrevelant later on.

Oakleaf Ranger1 votes

Seriously I think people need to understand the difference between a weak early game and a weak duelist.

I feel this very much applies to GP as well. He isnt bursting you or murdering you in lane (unless you are really bad) but he is farming up a storm and getting a gold lead on you who will barrel slow and cleanse himself if you ever try to get on him.

Vizulix6 votes

Yes. He is balanced.

However people at lower elos don't really know how to deal with him. You're not supposed to attempt to shut him down in lane.

You're supposed to murder his team before he can become useful.

So just roam and get every other lane ahead.

That's his weakness, he leaves his team in a 4 vs 5 for maybe the first twenty five ish minutes of the game.

In addition, he must return to farming every once in a while or else he falls off hard.

He isn't OP. It's just that everyone doesn't know how to deal with him.

Nasus is like the Sun, he'll always rise, so instead of trying to futiley prevent him from rising, you should shut the game before he can rise.

No matter how many stacks Nasus has, he will not be able to solo carry a team that's 10k gold behind.

Starcraft243ver1 votes

I've lost a game with 1200 stacks. so +10.

You are in the wrong place. my friend.

No one here wants actual advice. Only rage and complain. Even if you are 100% right.

Although, I will take your advice for myself.

About constructive threads....

Is this really what is being called constructive?

Dope Solo1 votes

I would say that the thread must have been titled correctly as it has many upvotes, and has received several constructive points for counterplay. Your comment however is not constructive, at all.

Pika Fox2 votes

Neither was your forum post. Which was the point.

Dope Solo1 votes

What was that? Sorry I can't hear you over the sound of the overwhelming number of genuinely thoughtful forum posts that most everyone else made. Not you though, ...only you.

KVbqbFsC8e3 votes

The only change he needs is the ultimate CDR buff not applying until level 11. He's too strong at level 6. His W is not the problem, he's had it forever, its been nerfed many times, and he's still easily kited in fights.

Yeah. Press R and you go from SoloQ to URF gamemode.

Try playing against teemo or rumble where you are forced to by MR when it's almost guarenteed you will need armor for their adc. You get bullied and outranged by teemo and are forced to either do E max or sit under turret.

Xayah Tristana So if this monsters are allowed to stay in the game without any good nerf I rly dont see the problem with nasus, sure he needs a nerf too but xayah and trist need to be priorities.

Edit For the smart guys who gonna see my matchs, yes I played vs xayah and tristana and I lost but is a litle harder to wait until I dont play against one of those 2, on order to say that they are broken, they are in every game I play if trist is banned they pick xayah if xayah is banned they pick trist.

DuskDaUmbreon2 votes

I'd like to point out exactly why you're wrong, but you're dead-set in your mindset that "these two are broken no matter what", so we both know it'd be pointless.

zZ KanKuro Zz1 votes

I like players like you who like to look superiors without saying anything , I never said that i think "these two are broken no matter what" pls supreme god that is never wrong tell me why am I wrong and you are right? I will admit that these 2 are not broken if somebody can prove me that, until now nobody was able too do that.

honestly xayahs not really a monster, atleast from my point of view top lane ( and silver 2) she doesn't give me too much of a hard time
