Yorick Ghoul, or 'Mist Walker', and Maiden Revamp Ideas

I feel as though because his mist walkers and Maiden are an integral part of his kit, that they should have some changes done to them to make them a more reliable part of his kit than just, QQQQQ with sheen proc and aa'ing an enemy to get that %hp magic damage proc with maiden. I was against a Volibear and his fear would just entirely negate the mist walkers and maiden. I do relize that it could be agured that the fear is a balanced mechanic against Yorick and all the player has to do is time his fear and strike accordingly.

It has come to my attention that Yorick 's playstyle is very similar to his old one and if you get tear and cdr you can have an 'army of the dead', but an army of the undead should be a little cooler asthetically in both the visual design and gameplay design.

What I am saying is that the rework did do a good job of 'modernizing' Yorick, but did not do a good job of adding uniqueness. In fact it took away the personality of each individual ghoul by making them all the same and have all the same actions as each other. His kit has 3 parts, his walkers, his cc, and his maiden. His ult kit doesn't get much credit for effectively combining both his cc and his ghouls, allowing for more variation in playstyles and build paths. (While you can go ap and get good magic damage off with maiden, you are missing out on the very good sustain you get from building health and lifesteal items.)

What I suggest is that instead of getting all of your pets from the q, each standard ability should spawn a different type of undead. His q would spawn a fast ghoul from the enemy that dies, his w would be an area of mist that spawns an undead (or multiple smaller ones) that would slow people, trying to keep them in. His e could spawn a totally different type of ghoul. Of course there would have to be draw backs to each kind such as the q ghoul would not spawn each time you kill an enemy and the w ghouls could have slower attacks. His ult should have more scalings, less damage, but be able to summon a unique type of ghoul from enemies that she kills. His E could possibly be have a passive and an active, the active being a rally for the ghouls. And his passive could be the ability store souls to summon ghouls, instead of having to use graves.

Along with this revamp a 'Ruined King Yorick' skin of sorts would fit nicely with the lore, showing what Yorick would become if he succumbs to the Maiden's allure of power.

I would love to see changes to Yorick, more than most anyone really, but I have come to realize that Riot is not interested in making him more versatile or balanced in any way at all.

His counterplay is either kiting him or stat checking him, neither of which feel good for the Yorick player. Riot does not want him or other fighters to be good (especially if they lack mobility).

The changes I would propose would be graves production on W, as the wall decays or is destroyed (telegraphing a potential window of power on a cooldown that is long early and short late), and Maiden % health damage more normalized to enhance dueling capabilities (reduced to 2, 3.5, 5 %, removing internal 2sec cooldown). The latter would make his auto reset more powerful but also make his dueling less bursts in general, while the former makes his trading capabilities more rewarding for skillful usage of abilities. Both of these changes would only marginally adjust his play style.

Ultimately, it does not matter though, because Riot is never going to do any of this stuff, they would not even think about it (not on their radar at all), because he is not a flashy frequently played champion.

Well every single piece in chess matters, so even if they might put him on a back-burner to deal with the queens and pawns, I feel as though they would give light to shape up a rook. If you don't understand my metaphor, I mean that the Riot balance team has to think about every champion and every facet of the game in order to make it as balanced as they can possibly make it.

Also, they do think about these things for every decision they make. Why else would they give Ryze over 3 reworks if they did not care about every champion in the League?

nobody build tear on new yorick. Also the ghouls as is have more damage and can be modified by what you build(they apply certain on hit effects).
