How many keys do you get monthly?

If you would estimate how many keys you'd averagely get when playing a few games per day with a mixed number of premades, how many key fragments do you think you should get in a month? Because of the diminishing odds, I've struggled finding any key fragment since my 9th. My friends didn't even get that many and are stuck around 6.

Also, they said that the drop rates reset monthly. Is this on a fixed date for everyone or how does this work?

It seems like you can get 8 fairly easily and then 9-12 are possible but very rare and hard to get. it doesn't seem like you can get any past 12. And the resetting upon a new month starting does not seem to work as I haven't seen any keys yet this month.
