Minor Zed buff

Buff: Enemy crowd control spells cast while Zed is untargetable won't affect him when he becomes targetable again.

Reason: Although the 1 second nerf was based on principle rather than actual power level, it brought Zed down a little undeservedly. Additionally, it makes it impossible for him to make the flashier, reaction-oriented plays (dodging Ori ult, predicting Galio's ult right after you ult, ETC.) Despite this fact, it has been a few PBE patches since the change, meaning it doesn't seem like it's going to get reverted any time soon. Therefore it's not unreasonable to make a minor buff to make up for a nerf that was unrelated to his power level as spoken by Meddler himself.

For example: Now Orianna will have to ult on Zed right when he appears and not try to time it during his untargetability, giving Zed a fair chance to fight her since he has a 1 second delay on his dashback, and giving Ori a fair chance to fight him since, again, he has a 1 second delay. This will level the playing field and make things more fair for both players when Zed goes in.

Discuss.

so...

Neutralize the entire point of the change?

Not at all. The change is actually what makes this a choice worth considering in the first place. Basically, when Zed ults, he truly is untargetable and you can't abuse it to your own advantage especially since he is already handicapping himself by artificially being unable to immediately dashback to react to you. It's more fair for BOTH people for any CC spells to only work when they begin casting after he is untargetable rather than during it.

This won't effect AoE damaging things like Anivia's ult or Talon's Ult and Rake and whatnot. But skillshots with CC and AoE spells that have CC on them that begin casting while Zed is untargetable won't affect him if they hit him when he becomes targetable again.

No. If zed's gonna go in, he's gotta know he's getting the kill.

I'd much rather prefer it being a duel and a battle of fairness and skill clashing against skill rather than "Ult when you know you can kill someone."

That's the way he was designed.
