My Shitty Mac Laptop Can Handle Hours of Raiding in WoW

But I literally can't keep League's dogshit piece of cancer tumor client open for more than 30 minutes, without my laptop overheating and setting fire to my fucking room. The fucking client, mind you, not the actual game. My non-gaming laptop runs League's actual game perfectly fine, on decently high graphic setting, with 100 fps.

Riot, I've been flaming you guys since you introduced this sack of garbage you call a "new client," so how about some real actions finally? Remember the days when we could just log on and spectate high elo games? Why can't we just bring back that client and call it a day? Is it because you don't know how to add your Hextech Crafting(read: Cashgrab) into that old client?

I think it is.

I have a 1080, 16g ram, i7 9700k and my PC has problems with the league client(sometimes straight up crashes my PC) where as i can stream WoW 1080p with OBS for hours NP. Yea league client is trash and somehow has gotten worse with the update to it.

its because of the spyware or whatever, the client is literally monitorizing all programs that are running on your pc as well as your browser, not sure if browser history too but anything currently running is on their data, so you can just imagine that it will consume a lot more memory than a normal client. edit: just in case you are gonna say they don't, read the tos as well as maybe just do a little search on google, even vandiril proved it is really happening, but with less drama. edit2: no one wasked for but I think is important to mention they imply or said explicity they will collect all that data "to improve their services", so basically you allow them to take all your data, or anyway all data avaible when your client is also open probably.

but that doesn't explain why they can't fix some stupid bugs tho.

Sorry but there's something wrong with your hardware settings. WoW is a REALLY outdated example btw. If it's overheating, you have something that should have been thrown out about 7 years ago and probably was built for Windows XP/Vista, not 7-10, because 7-10 OS's optimize well enough that League only needs 1-2 processor bays.

I find it hysterical that the client demands higher requirements than the game on low specs. Incompetence in its pure form.

To be fair. Wow is a HIGHLY optimized in its cpu usage. League on the other hand is not.

My experience with WoW vs. League client is quite lthe opposite of yours. Recent encounters like Sivarra perform like ass and are almost unplayable. League runs at 200 fps with the client having been left open all day.

Doesn't mean it isn't Riot's fault, but I wonder if it means it is incompatibility with something.

I have to restart (logout/exit) the client a few times randomly to get working textfields so I can chat with my peeps. I have to agree the client is a pain in the ass and is just awful. The graphics and the aesthetics looks nice tho. I also think it's time for rito to generate(); a decent client. Do it for CLI maybe without GUI? ;-)

can we agree this will never be addressed ?

they are unable ?

this post will likely be removed with a warning from riot like they do

I have a 1080, i9 9900k, 32GB RAM and a great ASUS motherboard, I can handle DOOM 2016 at Ultra graphics 144hz capped and ~180hz-240hz uncapped, and yet the LoL client still acts like you've got 10 Heaven Benchmarks open at once; each with the highest render options.

If there are dodges its best to close the client and restart else the lag is so bad.

Eedat1/24/2020, 2:40:10 PM1 votes

I can tell when I forgot to close the LoL client when I'm playing BDO or ESO because they run like shit. Its crazy how much better they run instantly when I close it

Cliot is full bugged anyway, but you know, Riot is a little familial company. They can't do everything at once.

true , i had so many big issues on this game client and still have , old client weren't using so many resources , woulded stay silent there etc...

I hover over missions , and some mission rewards remain on my screen without my mission list to even be open , and i can't select something to ban or to pick , and i must click the mission icon from the bottom , to make it disappear from my screen..

There is a huge bug , idk if you know about it , when i play this game let's say i connect using LAN connection , if i decide at any moment to switch to wi-fi ( I MUST CLOSE THE WHOLE GAME IT DOESN'T RECONNECT ME ) told an official Rioter about this mather of problem he ignored it... , when it happens for me to have lag from wi-fi... ,and to just get my cable and plug my laptop to lan... i must restart the game while i just could reconnect to them servers , but it doesn't work!!!! , so broken as hell .

The current client , sometimes don't allow me to report players , just doesn't load my end of game lobby , also right now doesn't longer show who have left the end of game lobby and who is still into the lobby ,which makes things frustrating , i mean you must search if the person you want to talk is still in the end of game lobby screen.
