It's Funny that We're Nerfing Duskblade Proc Damage

When Shiv proc actually deals more damage to champions...a double Zeal+IE ADC is pretty much the only viable ADC now, and that guy is probably going to crit you with his like 80% crit chance. And, when it crits, Shiv Lighting does 80 more damage than Nightstalker at max level...

But, by all means, only nerf Shiv's damage to minions.

PS: As an assassin main I fucking hate the fact that my burst is tied to an item instead of my kit, and I'm pretty sure that a lot of ADCs feel this way too. Honestly not sure what Riot is playing at at this point...

the whole point of the D blade nerf is to stop making it a crutch/required item for assassin players and put the power back into their kit. Riot is doing exactly what you want.

I'm pretty sure they will nerf Shiv's damage eventually. The item is meant to be for burst, but what sucks about it is that it's one of the biggest item spikes in the entire game; none of the other zeal items come even remotely close, which makes Runaan's Hurricane and Phantom Dancer kind of pointless on ADCs who don't go on-hit or use Essence Reaver.

I personally liked having the option of using any of the other zeal items as a rush, but I don't feel like that's going to happen until they do more work on marksmen in general, which is apparently not even happening until midseason. Sucks that it'll be at least two months in that case :/

Shiv's damage is also being nerfed on the PBE. Not by much, for now, but still...

Damage changed from [60 - 160] to [60 - 140]
