how do I get out of the cycle of winning one and losing one.

50% winrate. the only way i can think of to climb if i get a lucky streak that my team doesn't pick terrible match ups or they are just better than the other team. every time i lose it just seems that. its out of my hands. I mean last match I was supporting a jinx who got thunderlords. and got destroyed by graves because he got the lifesteal mastery. outsustained her and I could do nothing about it even though i pulled him under turret at level 1 and drew flash. i don't really understand what am i supposed to do here. i keep winning one and losing one no matter how do i personally do. it always seems that whoever got the most broken imma do the most damage champion wins the game

By playing better. It sounds like a smart remark but it's the true one. There's no two ways about this. There's no technique, no hidden button combo, no one simple trick that Diamonds hate... you just have to play better than you are.

Because what "win-one-lose one" means is that you are not playing well enough to make a difference and your games are not being decided by you, they are just being decided by coin-flip.

but when someone plays way worse than me why are they getting matched up with me? how does the elo system work? I mean i dont understand why in every match i play i have to push turret myself. last match. we only gotten 3 turrets. and i almost got an inhib turrret. all by myself. who got all the 3 turrets? me. my team was busy running around the map trying to get kills only to get outsmarted by the other team. you do well. you get 1v5d.

i just hope one day. lp gain also considers how well u did in game. objectives. kda. and all that. not just the w/l. i mean people don't try to push lane. they go and die at dragon and baron for no reason at all. i just dont understand anything. u tell them what to do they

"how does the elo system work?" The short of it is that a player has a number. This number goes up when they win and down when they lose. But the thing that makes it good is that the number's change is dependent on what their opponent's number was relative to theirs. So it's a system where players' numbers are based upon who they actually win against and who they lose against. Since it can give estimates of percentage chance to win between players, it can be used for rankings and match making. And pursuant to this...

"but when someone plays way worse than me why are they getting matched up with me?" But that's the thing... they aren't. One losing game, the game that you happen to be in, does not represent their match history. If these are players that you are matched with, then they are players who you both win against the same sets of people and lose against the same sets of people. And when that's the case, how can any player in that bracket be said to be far worse than any of the others? A person, if he is serious about climbing, has to look at the people they are matched with and seeing all the mistakes they are making that they are completely unaware that they are making, think to themselves "Well what does that say about my play?"

Ya Riot seems to think that Silver, Bronze, Silver, Silver, Plat = Silver, Silver, Silver, Gold, Gold OR Silver, Bronze, Bronze, Bronze, Diamond = Silver, Silver, Silver, Silver, Gold

Plat/Diamond players can easily STOMP a Silver player and go 20/2

Riots System is stupid.
