Aurelion Sol and Ivern

Can we talk about the fact that Aurelion Sol and Ivern have a 1.21% and 0.77% play rate respectively? They also both only have one skin, while older champs such as Lux and Teemo have been showered and blessed by Rito's skin gods. These underplayed champs really need to be given some love. Heck, Xayah and Rakan even have two skins, and they were released afterwards. Instead of ignoring these underplayed champions, I feel like we need to do something to make them more viable/appealing. Part of League's appeal is the diversity of the champ pool, which kinda gets drastically cut down when people mostly play OP champions, which makes the game repetitive after so many games of the same champions in lane. Underplayed champions could also be a great asset to the game and shake things up a little, providing us with lane diversity.

Underplayed? Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't the average play rate be around 0.71% per person because there are 140 champions? Or is the play rate you're referencing per match or per team?

Play rate averages for champions is goofy math. You have to account for roles they can fill in addition to the champion rooster size.

I agree. I think the reason noone plays these champions is because others can fill their role much better, in my opinion I believe Aurelion Sol is quite useless in the team unless you are a VERY good Sol main. Two of his abilities are focused on the stars surrounding him, which can be dodged and then you can close in on him, or if you're a ranged champion easily cut down his health with poking. He is a dragon, but champions like you said who have been treated a little too much by Riot are much more fearsome, easier to play, and overall actually contribute to the game. I actually have seen ONE player in my noob life play Ivern, so I have no idea what any of his abilities do... or if he's any good, but I can say Aurelion Sol, being a freaking dragon has ALOT of potential for skins and moves, get past or stay behind his stars and you've killed him.
