Idea for a Soraka rework: Remove the HP cost, require her to land Starcalls to actually heal
The idea for this comes from Malfurion in Heroes of the Storm. The way he heals is as follows:
Q - Regrowth Heals an ally over 20 seconds. Does not stack; recasting on a target refreshes duration.
W - Moonfire Deal light magic damage to enemies in an area. Allies with an active Regrowth are healed by for X health for each enemy Hero hit by Moonfire.
Soraka could do the same thing. I'd also do a few tweaks to her Equinox to be a bit like Malfurion's Entangling Roots, in that it should start in a very small area and then expand over time, and should lose the whole rooting portion.
Here's a rough draft of how it could work.
Q - Starcall After a short delay, deal damage and briefly slow enemies in an area. Short cooldown, low mana cost, very low damage, very short slow duration.
W - Astral Infusion Heal an ally over 20 seconds (heal-over-time is weak). Allies with an active Astral Infusion are healed for X for each enemy Champion hit by Starcall.
E - Equinox Silence enemies in an area and deal minor damage. This area expands over X seconds.
Soraka's ultimate would be relatively unchanged, except maybe for numbers. This would enable a much more aggressive playstyle out of Soraka in that she cannot just sit back and slowly patch up allies with Astral Infusion's over-time heal, as that will take WAY too long. If she really wants to heal, she first has to put Astral Infusion on her allies and then start landing Starcalls on the enemy.
