Is zyra, brand, or other a better "carry" support

I'm looking for a support that can carry the game. Don't like blitzcrank or thresh

tbh it's more How you play rather than who you play; I'm a Soraka main (I hover between top 10k and 5k Soraka players globally). BUT, 2 aspects that can help you have more impact on your games as support are:

  1. global presence. Either by roaming (Morgana, Blitz, Thresh, Bard, Annie, Alistar) or globals (soraka)

  2. repeatedly killing (or denying cs/exp from) your laning opponent(s). (Annie, Karma, Zyra, Blitz, Bard lvl 1, Thresh)

of course there are others that aren't listed, but if you focus on using your champions in the best way possible to achieve one or both of the above goals, you'll carry games as support (obviously on top of objective/ward timings, jungler tracking, warding, etc)

overall, unless huge changes are made, I will always list these as the best supports to carry games (by dominating lane and roaming mid to completely control the bot-side jungle:

Blitzcrank, Leona, Alistar, Janna, Thresh, Bard

But if utility isn't your thing, I'd go with Annie as a kill-lane due to her insane burst (and relatively high range & durability), and she's easy to learn.

As for Zyra, her build is FQC, Sightstone, Boots, Liandry's, Rylai's, Void Staff (she doesn't build "proper support items"), with hpen/mpen marks, ap/armor/ms quints, scaling health seals, ap/mpen glyphs.

zyra right now is OP as hell, does insane damage while still building proper support items, and wards.

So you need someone without skillshots? Lack of aiming? Try Annie, and please don't join a queue at the same time I do.

iv been playing zyra alot. cant get enough of her. she has insane poke, great dmg, good peel for adc, easily can stack her gold from items/talent. doing 70k+ dmg in a game as a support. if you play her ap she is one of the best burst champs iv played in a while. Spell Pen Boots, Rylais, Liandries, Void, Deathcap, either support item or switch for hourglass. plant dmg is great, applies slow, burns them. try her out!

To carry, brand is the best of the 2. He can carry teamfights aswell as 1v1 the ADC.

Put some more time into blitz if you are more concerned about winning than fun. Zyra and Vel'Koz are good carry style supports. Perhaps bard, takes time to figure out his strange q hitboxes and his ult placement, but when you do you have respectable meep damage when collecting chimes and tons of utility, the ability to both save your own teammates and catch out enemies. Good e's are another story but it matters less the lower elo you are.

Veigar Building AP just for landing the pokes on other champions. It's worth a try. ? has giant stun cage, and an instant delete button.

INNATE: Veigar gains a stack of Phenomenal Evil whenever he hits an enemy champion with an ability, and 3 stacks whenever he scores a champion takedown. Veigar gains 1 Ability Power for every stack of Phenomenal Evil.

I find I carry most on Zyra, Brand, Morgana, and Blitzcrank. Discounting Blitz, that leaves Zyra, Brand, and Morgana.
