Why isn't Kench a viable jungler anymore?

I used to play him JG all the time like 6 months ago. Lately though, it just feels terrible and my clears are especially bad. The only lane that he still seems viable in is Top. What happened and is JG really weak now or is it me?

probably due to bad clears

First he got hurt by the removal of trailblazer, since he can't devour the buff camps he needed a way to clear them quickly. Then he got hurt by a reduction to his auto range. Then he got done in as a jungler by having his ult passive damage reduced by half at rank 1.

bad clears prob and the fact that he is counter jungled easly early and early game is more important then it used to

Kench jungle should be easy street. Start q and get a leash on blue buff and kill it without using smite for the best clear. Level w at 2, then smite-devour gromp, which will nearly kill it instantly. After that, you should have a very simple clear. Max w first.

You can go two routes with Tahm jg: devourer or cinderhulk. Devourer is ridiculously strong on tk jungle because you do tons of on hit damage with your ult and, more importantly, you stack your passive much faster. Rush titanic hydra after devourer so that you get the nice aa reset to instantly stack your passive, plus its passive synergies exceptionally well with your own.

I just read his % HP was nerfed on his R. I think this makes Devourer less attractive than Cinderhulk.

Devourer Kench is way more about stacking the passive than doing damage, although damage is nice. Full build is usually something like this:

item 3931 item 3748 item 3742 item 3065 item 3022 item 1306
