vs That said, and I agree with that sentiment, isn't it unfair then also for a free item to entirely counter the draw of playing a champion?

I understand many Teemo mains think he is "fine". And that melee top laners hate him(at least he isn't Quinn, squishier, worse escape and worse team fighting). But something needs to be done with this champion. He has been considered a troll pick since S2. Fine that is okay same with Heimer. But now with this vision stuff it is becoming clear he has some clear design issues.

Plants counter him, scanner counters him, control wards counter him. Not to mention the addition of another spellshield... yey...

I personally think he needs a rework, a major one. But others need it more. Any short term suggestions(other than removing him) do you have to make Teemo a viable, balanced and solid pick?

I love it when I see teemo as riven. I just buy edge of night and a red trinket. and then he becomes a walking peice of gold to chase down and kill.

Well item 3123 into Sustain based champions are a far heavier counter then item 3341 into Teemo since trinkets have a CD while EC works on all auto attacks. Not saying that the trinket isn't a counter into teemo because it is but personally I feel there has to be something left in to help against shrooms and other stealth traps.

make his shrooms work like how techies mines do now

you get vision of them when you walk close enough (so if you want to play minesweeper you have to step carefully), but they can't be revealed otherwise and grant more vision, and do a LOT of damage

the biggest problem here is that without the sweep or a control ward you just can't walk out of your lane through river, god help you if you want to go into the enemy jungle. if you don't need the sweeper to clear but instead have to be VERY observant then teemo can have some power freed up to make the rest of his kit better.

My question is why does the river scuttle set off the shrooms, but never dies from the poison? I mean teemo is using one of the more dangerous poisons from the jungles of Kumungu?
