Miss Fortune - Double Up's "bounce logic" needs to be reverted
I love that you're rewarded for scoring a killing blow with Double Up's first bullet, but did the second bullet's bounce radius/logic really have to be nerfed?
Patch 5.14 Q - Double Up
DOESN'T FAVOR FOOLS: Bounce logic is now more predictable; Double Up will attempt to find a target directly behind the first. If no target is found, will go to the closest target in a 60 degree angle.
BOUNCE ANGLE: 100 degrees ⇒ 60 degrees
One thing is certain, the bounce logic is actually much more predictable, most of the time it'll:
- Fizzle because there's no valid target
- Bounce to a minion
This is a flat-out nerf to her laning phase, even with the new potential for extra damage on Double Up's bounce. Removing Grievous Wounds from Impure Shots was enough to SIGNIFICANTLY nerf her ability to duel other carries. Did she really need a nerf to her laning phase too? Wasn't the update supposed to make MF more viable?
Note: This doesn't mean I think she needs Grievous Wounds back, it was a reasonable price to pay for her new Strut re-activation.
Riot, just PLEASE give us back the bounce logic that was used prior to this update. (seen below)
Patch 4.5 Q - Double Up
Criteria for 2nd target selection rework.
- Will first prioritize enemy champions marked by Impure Shots within a 40° cone.
- Will then attempt to find a target immediately behind the target, to avoid cases where it looks like it should have bounced to them.
- Will then attempt to find a target within a 20° cone, prioritizing minions/monsters over champions.
- Will then attempt to find a target within a 40° cone, prioritizing minions/monsters over champions.
- Will then attempt to find any target within a 90° cone.
