Support playing with silver/gold but ranking bronze

Harizin··1 votes·790 views

This is my second season and I'm currently in Bronze, but when I play games with my silver friends we get matched with silver/gold players. Whenever I play with them we usually win, and yes they obviously put in their work, but when I play with them I find myself always holding my own and generally doing very well, in the B to S range. If I can hold my own and then some with these silver/gold players, then why am I still in Bronze? I'm trying my best to not sound like I'm complaining about being a bronze scrub, I would just like an answer so that I can change accordingly and make a difference in my gameplay so I can climb in solo. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Can you be more specific? If you usually win, then you should be climbing the latter.

But that in mind, any kind of group performance, is considered an advantage. Duoing as a bronze/silver, could probably hold their own against a bbunch of yoloQer's even being a rank or two ahead.

But if you win in a group, play as a group. that's about all the advice I could give you.

I'm not gonna lie. Getting out of Bronze (or the low-tier in general) is almost irrelevant to skill, unless you're some diamond+ tier player that can just rule the entire game.

Obviously if you're able to carry the game on your own completely, you'll climb sooner or later. But this is out of the question.

If your skill level is just "good for the tier", i.e. can hold for yourself and usually a bit more, ofc it's better than being terrible. But it's upto RNG whether your team has other people like you, or just straight up trash/toxic people that will carry you the other way.

Being a support is also, truth be told, a horrifying problem. A great support is usually catalyst to winning games, but even if you are the world's best catalyst, certain bronze players are unable to produce any result with it at all, because essentially, supports rely on their team mates to produce the result. The team relies on the support to produce a better result, but support alone can't produce a great result.

I'd highly recommend finding a duo partner, doesn't even have to be an adc, but a partner that you can play with and rely on. Someone that can rely on you back as well.

i used to play in na server top lane or jungle . sometimes i would go on a 16 consecutive wins . then guess what i start to get afks, trolls, and toxic players that make u tilt . i used to go up to silver 3 then get tired of trying so hard due to team and give up . then i would be on bronze 5 again . i have got 2 afks in a single game and still won. so i would say it's because of riot's match making system . so so many people get stuck in same elo . if u want to climb elo u have to be really good with champs that can solo carry or just get a pre made

the answer is probably that you haven't played enough games to climb out of bronze. If you're just a bit better than the people you're playing with, it can take a bit of time to climb. Patience.

Legit, just ignore people who say "bronze is unbeatable," or "bronze is easy as fuck."

You can easily climb out of bronze, you just have to have patience and not tilt. The people saying that it's easy as fuck are usually much higher elo players who can crush everything. I'm assuming you can't do that.

best way to climb is have 1-3 champions you've mastered and play only them. This season, from silver 3 (ish) to plat 5 I would only play Kled and Fiora. I'd simply mastered them and played best on those champs, so I climbed. I suggest doing the same. I'm not sure which lane you play, but you should look into doing that.

" When I play games with my silver friends we get matched with silver/gold players" - " We usually win, I find myself always holding my own" etc etc etc

  • Are you talking about normals ???? If so it's.... normals like most people from Bronze to Diamond play, troll, drinking games, trying out new builds, champions etc, like it's normals no one is really trying in that mode.
  • You play with your silver/gold friends vs other silver/gold and do great but when it's you vs bronze elo players you're still in bronze which means you need to get better yourself, maybe your higher elo friends are actually doing things that makes you win or good enough to hold your own etc that just seem to be the norm but actually effect those games IDK

Short answer you're dying too much, supporting or not supporting 9 deaths a game on average is pretty solid in the elo that you're currently in honestly.
As well as you play Lee sin going 10-22 is a pretty good answer that says " don't play me EVER" not until you get better at the game that is. Also you don't seem the type of person that rages or maybe you do or maybe you're the kindest sweetest America's sweetheart but you could be tilting, I mean dying 16 times in 1 game, 14, 13, 16, 13, 13, 12, 12 with some of your best champions is pretty rough either you don't know what back means, or you could have 0 map awareness.
